Sr Administrator (Support & Operations)

Job Summary

- Administration and diagnostic resolution of common maintenance and performance issues on SAN (Storage Area Network)/NAS (Network Attached Storage storage) platforms, including: Dell EMC Storages like Powerstore, Unity, VNX, ISILON and Pure Storage Arrays.
- Working knowledge and basic troubleshooting on the Storage arrays including data instant and remote instant replays.
- Mid-level troubleshooting of common block/file protocols, including:
iSCSI (Internet Small Computer Systems Interface), NFS (Network Attached Storage), CIFS (Common Internet File System)
- Knowledge of the different kind of replication technologies local and remote replications like Snapshots, SRDF/Timefinder cloning.
- Should have exposure to Cisco Fiber channel Switches.
- Configure and maintain storage infrastructure providing optimal availability, performance, and best practices
- Monitor and report on available updates and patches for firmware and software to address existing or potential storage platform issues and/or vulnerabilities
- Evaluate performance, monitor workloads, and analyze results to ensure optimal operations
- Maintain platform and procedural documentation
- Assist in projects, including current installations, upgrades, retrofits, etc.
- Arrange/perform replacements of common failure items, such as hard drives.
- Experience working in 24/7, high availability datacenter environments
- Demonstrated understanding of storage fundamentals, including RAID (Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks), SAN (Storage Area Network), and NAS (Network Attached Storage) common concepts
- Fundamental understanding of TCP (Transmission Control Protocol)/IP (Internet Protocol) concepts and functionality
- Advanced user level server operating systems experience such as Linux, Windows, Nutanix, VMware etc.

Key Responsibilities
