ROLE SUMMARY

We're looking for a QA Engineer who treats quality as an engineering discipline, not a final checkpoint. You'll own test strategy and automation across our React/TypeScript frontend and Python/FastAPI backendservices,includingAI-poweredworkflows.You'llbuildfast,reliabletestsuitesthatruninCIon everychange.You'llworkwithengineersandproductfromrequirementsthroughreleasesoissuesare caught early and shipping stays secure and fast.

WHAT YOULL DO

Test strategy & planning

- Ownteststrategyandtestplansforfeaturesendtoend(UI,API,dataandintegrations),with risk-based coverage and clear acceptance criteria agreed with product and engineering.
- Takepartindesignandrefinementsessionstoshiftqualityleft:reviewrequirementsandPRsfor testability and edge cases.
- Reportreleasereadinessandtrackqualitymetrics:escapeddefects,automationcoverage,flakerate and pipeline duration.

Automation

- Design,buildandmaintainUIautomationinPlaywright(TypeScript),usingfixtures,PageObject Model, parallel execution, sharding and trace viewer debugging.
- Maintain existing Selenium WebDriver suites and migrate them to Playwright where it makes sense.
- BuildAPIandintegrationtestsuitesforREST/FastAPIserviceswithpytest,PlaywrightAPItesting, Postman/Newman or REST Assured. Validate schemas, auth, error handling and contracts.
- ValidatedatainPostgreSQL,cachingbehaviourinRedis,andasync/queue-basedworkflows.Build reliable test-data setup and teardown.
- Mockdependenciesandthird-partyservicesusingMSW,WireMockorPlaywrightnetwork interception.

CI/CD & environments





- IntegratetestsuitesintoCI/CD(GitHub Actions,GitLabCIorJenkins)withPRgating,parallelruns and explicit reporting (Allure, Playwright HTML reports).
- RuntestsincontainerizedenvironmentsusingDocker/DockerComposeandephemeralpreview environments on Kubernetes.
- Hunt down and fix flaky tests: root-cause failures and improve locators, waits and test isolation.

Non-functional & AI quality

- Run performance and load tests with k6, JMeter or Locust, and set performance baselines.
- Cover cross-browser and device testing (BrowserStack, LambdaTest or Sauce Labs), visual regression(Playwrightsnapshots,PercyorApplitools)andaccessibility(axe-core,Lighthouse, WCAG 2.2).
- TestAI/LLM-poweredfeatures:buildevaluationdatasetsandcheckoutputquality,consistency, hallucinations, guardrails and regressions with tools such as Promptfoo, DeepEval or Ragas.
- UseAI-assistedtestingtools(GitHubCopilot,Playwrightcodegen/MCP,AItestgeneration)tospeed up test authoring while keeping suites maintainable.

Defect management

- Dostructuredexploratorytestingandlogclear,reproduciblebugsinJirawithsteps,logs,screenshots and traces. Follow them through to closure.

MUST-HAVE

Test automation





- 3+yearsofhands-onUIautomation,withstrongPlaywright(TypeScript/JavaScript)skillsandworking experience with Selenium WebDriver (Python).
- StrongcodingskillsinTypeScript/JavaScriptand/orPython.Writesclean,maintainabletestcode using Page Object Model, fixtures and data-driven patterns.
- SolidAPItesting:REST,HTTP,JSONandauth(OAuth2/JWT)usingpytest/requests, Postman/Newman or REST Assured.
- ExperienceintegratingtestsintoCI/CDpipelines(GitHubActions,GitLabCIorJenkins)withparallel execution and reporting.

QA fundamentals

- Stronggraspoffunctional,regression,smoke,integration,end-to-end,exploratoryandUATtesting, and of test design techniques (boundary values, equivalence partitioning, decision tables).
- Experiencewritingtestplans,testcasesandhigh-qualitybugreportsinAgile/ScrumteamsusingJira and a test management tool (TestRail, Xray or Zephyr).
- Working SQL for data validation (PostgreSQL preferred).
- Comfortable with Git, code reviews, browser DevTools, network inspection and log-based debugging.
- Dockerbasics,plushands-onexperiencewithatleastoneperformancetestingtool(k6,JMeteror Locust).

Collaboration

- Clear written and verbal communication. Advocates for quality with engineers, product and design.
- Takesownershipofqualityoutcomes,balancesspeedwithrisk,andhelpsteammatesadoptgood automation practices.
