Role Overview:
- This is a remote, full-time role for someone with sales and partnership experience in the tourism industry who understands responsible tourism and can represent it credibly.
- The Sales Manager will own two connected mandates: Building and growing B2B partnerships with travel operators, agents and tour companies in Europe, the USA, the UK and other key outbound markets, to bring more inbound travellers to India.
- Converting B2C leads generated through digital advertising into confirmed travellers.
- This is a high-activity, target-driven role suited to someone who is comfortable picking up the phone, building relationships across time zones, and closing with warmth rather than pressure — in a way that reflects our brand's values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Make a minimum of 40+ outbound cold calls every day to prospective B2B partners — tour operators, DMCs, travel agencies and platforms — primarily in Europe, the USA and the UK, to drive inbound traveller volume to India.
- Identify, research and build a structured pipeline of potential partners aligned with our values and positioning in responsible tourism.
- Run end-to-end outreach campaigns (calls, email, LinkedIn) to open conversations with new international partners.
- Present Suitcase with Soul's itineraries, values and commercial terms to prospective partners; negotiate and close partnership/commission agreements.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with existing partners to drive repeat referrals and joint marketing opportunities.
- Represent Suitcase with Soul at relevant travel trade shows, webinars and networking events (virtual and in-person) as needed.
- Own the full conversion funnel for inbound leads generated through Meta/Google ads and other digital campaigns.
- Respond promptly to leads, qualify traveller intent and budget, and guide them through itinerary selection.
- Conduct consultative sales calls/video calls to convert warm leads into confirmed bookings.
- Follow up consistently on the pipeline (no lead left unattended) using CRM/tracking tools.
- Work closely with the marketing team to give feedback on lead quality and improve targeting/messaging.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of calls, outreach, leads and partnership status in the CRM.
- Provide regular reports on call volume, conversion rates, pipeline health and partnership revenue to the Founder/Director.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth handover of confirmed bookings and partner requirements.
What We're Looking For

- 2–5 years of experience in sales, business development or partnerships within the travel & tourism industry (tour operator, DMC, OTA, hotel/hospitality or similar).
- A genuine understanding of and appreciation for responsible tourism — how it works, why it matters, and how to talk about it credibly with partners and travellers.
- Demonstrated comfort and success with high-volume cold calling and outbound outreach.
- Excellent spoken and written English; confident communicating with international clients and partners across time zones (Europe, USA, UK).
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with a consultative, non-pushy sales style.
- Self-starter who can work independently and remotely against daily/weekly targets.
- Comfortable with CRM tools, spreadsheets and basic sales reporting.
- Reliable internet connection and a home setup suited to daily calling and video meetings.
Valuable to Have
- Existing network or experience working with international tour operators/DMCs focused on India or South Asia.
- Prior experience specifically in responsible/sustainable tourism or experiential travel.
- Familiarity with performance-marketing lead funnels (Meta/Google Ads) and converting digital leads.
