Role Summary

Electrica Engineers Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Professional with strong expertise in Electronics Components, PCBA, LED Modules, Switches, Connectors, Plastic Injection Molded Components, Vendor Development, Costing, and Supplier Management.

The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end procurement activities, supplier development, cost optimization initiatives, localization projects, inventory control, and supporting new product development programs within the automotive lighting business.

The ideal candidate should possess strong commercial acumen, supplier negotiation expertise, market intelligence, and the ability to build and lead high-performing procurement teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cost Optimization & Strategic Sourcing

- Drive procurement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
- Develop sourcing strategies through supplier negotiations, alternate sourcing, localization, value engineering, and global benchmarking.
- Identify opportunities for should-cost analysis and long-term cost competitiveness.

2. Supplier Selection & Performance Management

- Identify, evaluate, qualify, and onboard reliable suppliers.
- Conduct supplier capability assessments, quality audits, and commercial evaluations.
- Monitor supplier performance through periodic reviews and corrective action plans.

3. Vendor Development & Risk Mitigation

- Develop new suppliers for electronics, plastic molded parts, tooling, and automotive components.
- Build a diversified supplier base to reduce operational and supply chain risks.
- Conduct technical and commercial supplier assessments.

4. Procurement Planning & Production Support

- Ensure uninterrupted material availability for production.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Planning, SCM, Stores, QA,



and Logistics teams.
- Develop procurement schedules aligned with customer demand and production plans.

5. Recent Product Development (NPD) Support

- Source components for new projects within targeted timelines and budgets.
- Collaborate with Engineering, R&D;, and suppliers during product development activities.
- Support APQP, PPAP, sourcing feasibility, supplier approvals, and project launches.

6. Quality & Compliance Management

- Work closely with QA/QC teams on supplier quality performance.
- Support supplier audits, corrective actions, CAPA closure, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure adherence to OEM and customer quality standards.

7. Inventory & Logistics Control

- Monitor inventory levels, stock ageing, slow-moving inventory, and material availability.
- Implement inventory optimization strategies and warehouse coordination.
- Drive EOQ and inventory control initiatives.

8. Delivery Performance Management

- Ensure timely delivery from suppliers.
- Monitor supplier delivery KPIs and improve overall supply chain responsiveness.
- Reduce lead times through performance improvement initiatives.

9. ERP Management & Documentation

- Maintain accurate procurement data in ERP systems.
- Manage purchase orders, GRNs, invoices, supplier records, and procurement reports.
- Ensure compliance with procurement documentation procedures.

10. Localization & Import Substitution

- Identify opportunities to localize imported components.
- Develop domestic suppliers aligned with Make in India initiatives.
- Drive import cost reduction and supplier localization programs.

11. Technology & Innovation Sourcing





- Collaborate with suppliers to introduce advanced technologies.

Qualifications

Education

- BE/B.Tech (Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, Industrial Engineering) OR
- Diploma in Engineering with relevant procurement experience.

Experience

- 8 to 15 Years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Vendor Development, or Supply Chain Management.
- Experience in Automotive, Automotive Lighting, Electronics Manufacturing, EMS, or Automotive Components preferred.
