Role & responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Controls

- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements under Ind AS / IFRS.
- Drive timely book closure, reconciliations, accruals and provisions.
- Strengthen ICFR and support statutory / internal audits.

Media-Specific Accounting

- Oversee content capitalization, amortization and impairment.
- Ensure accurate accounting of advertising, OTT, licensing and syndication revenue.
- Track content rights, royalties, co-productions and production costs.

Budgeting, Forecasting & MIS

- Support annual budgets, forecasts and variance analysis.
- Develop MIS on revenue, costs, EBITDA and show-level profitability.
- Provide insights for pricing, content investment and business decisions.

Compliance & Taxation

- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS and other applicable tax regulations.
- Coordinate tax assessments, filings and litigation support.
- Ensure compliance with applicable media and regulatory requirements.

Process Improvement & Systems

- Drive automation and standardization of accounting processes.
- Enhance SAP and finance systems for media-specific requirements.
- Strengthen processes for content costing,



royalties and revenue assurance.

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

- Lead and mentor the accounting team for timely, accurate delivery.
- Partner with Content, Sales, Legal and Digital teams on financial matters.
- Act as key finance partner to the Finance Controller and flag risks proactively.

Preferred candidate profile

Education: Chartered Accountant (CA). Batch - 2012 - 2018.

Experience: 8-12 years of progressive finance and accounting experience (media, entertainment, broadcasting, or OTT/digital content industry experience can be additional advantage).

Technical Skills:

- Robust knowledge of Ind AS/IFRS, particularly revenue recognition (Ind AS 115) and content/intangible asset accounting (Ind AS 38).
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP) and media-specific finance/rights management tools.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills;

Domain Knowledge: Understanding of advertising sales cycles, content licensing/syndication models, subscription and digital monetization structures, and production cost economics
