Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor employee welfare facilities such as canteen, drinking water, restrooms, first aid, and creche, in line with the Factories Act and applicable rules
- Act as the first point of contact for employee concerns and grievances, and help resolve them promptly and fairly
- Coordinate with management on workplace safety, health camps, and wellness activities
- Support women employees' welfare initiatives and a respectful, inclusive workplace
- Assist with employee benefits such as ESI, PF, and leave, and guide workers on their entitlements
- Organise employee engagement activities, festivals, and recognition programmes
- Maintain welfare records and registers, and support statutory inspections and audits
- Coordinate with hostels or transport arrangements, where applicable, and ensure worker comfort and safety
- Support induction and orientation for recent employees
Qualifications and Experience
- MSW in Social Work, Labour Welfare, or Personnel Management
- 25 years of experience as a Welfare Officer or in HR/labour welfare, preferably in a manufacturing setting
- Working knowledge of labour laws and factory welfare provisions
- Fluency in Malayalam is essential.
