Job Context Major Challenges

Aditya Birla Money Ltd. (ABML) is primarily a Broking Company, deals in Equity, Commodity Currency. Workforce of ~800 spread across ~40 locations with customer base of in excess of 3 lacs. Commodity operations are managed through its 100% subsidiary Aditya Birla Commodities Broking limited. ABML is one of the leading securities trading companies in the country. ABML operates in a fragmented equity broking business and has a daily turnover of close to 3, 000 Crores with a market share of 1%. ABM works in a highly regulated environment with a host of regulators like SEBI, RBI, AMFI, FMC, IRDA etc. regulating its day to day operations. In addition to the regulator ABML is also subject to close monitoring and inspection through various agencies like NSE / BSE / NCDX / MCX / NSDL / CDSL etc. ABML also operates in a highly competitive market mainly in fragmented industry with ABML competition from major National Broking houses like ICICI Securities, HDFC Securities, Angel Broking, MOFSL etc. and a range of local Broking outfits.

Job Context:
To ensure transfer of securities of Clients from Demat account holder to Exchange Clearing Corporations for meeting Exchange obligation, and also for transfer to other accounts basis on receipt of client instructions.

To ensure scan image of clients physical Delivery Instruction slips (DIS)



submitted for transfer of securities, are reported to Depositories (NSDL CDSL) before the cutoff time i. e. before end of the next working day.

To ensure Clients Pledging / Hypothecating of their securities with Bank / NBFC for availing Loans i. e. Loan against Securities within TAT.

To ensure Conversion of Client s physical share securities into electronic mode and vice versa within TAT.

To ensure Conversion / Reconversion of Government Securities from SGL account to Demat account and vice versa within TAT.

To ensure Reissuance of DIS additional Books to the clients on receipt of valid requests.

To ensure that all activities and operations of the Department are carried out in compliance with various regulatory bodies like SEBI, NSDL and CDSL.

Major Challenges:
Any wrong transfer of securities ie either transfer of excess securities or transfer to wrong accountholder which will leads to huge ficial loss to Organisation deviation of regulations.

Wrong or Nonreporting or delayed process or any noncompliance activities or nonsubmission of statutory reports will be viewed seriously by Regulators and shall levy penal charges.

The critical skill sets that this profile requires are:




Client relationship Management, Communication presentation skills, Business building skills, proactive attitude, a solid industry network high customer service orientation.
Product Knowledge Analytical Skills, understanding of other product offerings of ABC Cross Selling Skills and Team Building Skills
