JOB PURPOSE

To execute and manage dealing operations for Mutual Funds and Direct Equity within the PMS desk ensuring accurate, timely and compliant trade execution, and effective coordination with fund managers, custodians, RTAs, brokers and exchanges.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Execute buy/sell orders in mutual funds (across AMCs) and direct equity for PMS client portfolios, ensuring best execution and minimal slippage.
- Translate fund managers’ investment decisions into timely, accurate market and off-market orders.
- Liaise with AMCs, RTAs, custodians, depository participants and empaneled brokers on order placement, confirmation and settlement.
- Track market movements, liquidity and NAV/price levels to optimise timing and cost of execution.
- Ensure timely trade confirmations, contract note reconciliation, and resolution of settlement or allocation discrepancies.
- Maintain dealing records, audit trails and MIS reports for internal, client and regulatory review.
- Ensure strict adherence to SEBI (Portfolio Managers) Regulations, SEBI (Mutual Funds) Regulations, exchange bye-laws, and internal risk, compliance and code-of-conduct norms.
- Monitor and promptly escalate any breach of investment limits, exposure norms or client mandates.
- Coordinate with Compliance, Risk and Operations on regulatory filings,



inspections and audits relating to dealing activity.
- Stay current on regulatory circulars, market structure changes and product developments across mutual funds and equities.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

- Strong grounding in equity markets, mutual fund structures and PMS operations.
- Sound working knowledge of SEBI regulations governing PMS, mutual funds and the securities markets, and of exchange/depository processes.
- Excellent written and spoken communication, with robust command of vocabulary and business correspondence.
- High accuracy and attention to detail; composed under time pressure during market hours.
- Proficiency with dealing/OMS platforms, and MS Excel.
- Strong ethical standards and discretion in handling confidential client and market information.
- Ability to multitask and coordinate across fund management, compliance, operations and external counterparties.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, Economics or a related field.
- Relevant NISM certifications for dealing/PMS as applicable under SEBI norms.
- 8–10 years of relevant dealing/execution experience across mutual funds and direct equity, preferably within a PMS, AMC or broking set-up.
