Cloud Infrastructure & Operations Consultant - Onsite Bangalore 8 - 10 yrs

Azure Cloud Infrastructure & Operations Engineer to manage, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise cloud environments. The role will have end-to-end ownership of Azure infrastructure administration, IAM/RBAC, security, monitoring, performance, cost optimization, and disaster recovery operations.The candidate will be responsible for investigating and remediating cloud platform operational issues, handling P1/P2 incidents within defined SLAs, performing VM, network, storage, and platform troubleshooting, and executing standard operational runbooks. The role also requires close coordination with cloud providers, OEMs, and central infrastructure teams for complex issues, RCA, and resolution.The position requires strong hands-on Azure expertise, a customer-focused approach, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a 24x7/on-call enterprise support setting

.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESMicrosoft Defender for Cloud

- Configure and administer Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
- Monitor security recommendations, alerts, and cloud security posture.
- Investigate security-related alerts and coordinate remediation activities.
- Identify security posture gaps and recommend improvement actions.
- Support implementation of security controls across Azure resources.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity teams for security incidents requiring deeper investigation.

Azure Monitor & Log Analytics





- Configure and maintain Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
- Analyze monitoring data, logs, metrics, and operational events.
- Develop and analyze KQL queries for troubleshooting and monitoring.
- Perform alert triage and tune alerts to reduce false positives.
- Configure diagnostic settings and enable appropriate resource logs.
- Investigate performance, availability, and infrastructure-related issues using monitoring data.
- Support proactive monitoring and operational health reporting.

Cloud Cost Optimization

- Analyze Azure resource utilization and consumption trends.
- Identify underutilized, idle, or oversized resources.
- Recommend cost optimization opportunities.
- Support rightsizing and resource utilization optimization.
- Monitor cloud consumption and identify unexpected cost increases.
- Work with FinOps/central cloud teams to implement cost-control measures.

Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity

- Support planning and execution of Azure Disaster Recovery (DR) drills.
- Coordinate DR testing activities with application, infrastructure, network, and business teams.
- Execute recovery procedures according to approved DR runbooks.
- Validate application and infrastructure availability following DR activities.
- Document DR test results, observations, issues, and recovery metrics.
- Track and support remediation of gaps identified during DR exercises.

Incident & On-Call Support





- Provide on-call support for critical cloud infrastructure incidents.
- Maintain a 30-minute response time for P1/P2 incidents.
- Perform incident triage, troubleshooting, and initial remediation.
- Follow established incident, escalation, and communication procedures.
- Provide timely technical updates to customer and internal stakeholders.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

- 8+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure / Cloud Operations / Managed Services.
- Experience managing enterprise Azure environments, including Compute, Networking, Storage, IAM/RBAC, Monitoring, Security, and Governance.
- Proven experience in investigating, troubleshooting, and remediating cloud platform operational issues.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, KQL, alert management, diagnostics, and performance monitoring.
- Experience with Microsoft Defender for Cloud, security recommendations, threat alerts, and cloud security posture improvement.
- Experience in Azure cost analysis, resource utilization, rightsizing, and cost optimization.
- Experience planning, executing, validating, and documenting Disaster Recovery (DR) drills.
- Strong troubleshooting experience across VM availability/performance, network connectivity, storage, snapshots, and standard cloud operational activities.
- Experience performing incident triage, root-cause analysis, problem management, and technical escalation.
- Experience coordinating with Microsoft/AWS/Jio Cloud, OEMs, vendors, and central infrastructure teams for complex issues and RCA.
- Experience working in customer-facing enterprise environments with strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Exposure to AWS, Jio Cloud, private cloud, or hybrid-cloud environments will be an added advantage.
