We are looking for an experienced Green Building Consultant to lead large-scale LEED and IGBC certification projects for clients. You will be both the face of the project to the client and the technical lead behind the scenes, owning the project from kickoff through certification. You will also act as a subject matter expert for the team and mentor junior consultants.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
- Lead LEED and IGBC certification projects, including large-scale, multi-building and master-planned developments.
- Own the full certification lifecycle: feasibility, credit strategy, documentation, submissions, reviews, clarifications and final certification.
- Prepare and review scorecards, compliance narratives, calculations and supporting documentation for accuracy and quality.
- Track project timelines, deliverables and risks, and keep projects on schedule and within scope.
Client Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, developers and project teams.
- Lead client meetings, workshops and progress reviews.
- Advise clients on certification strategy, cost-benefit trade-offs and regulatory requirements.
- Build long-term client relationships and identify opportunities for additional services.
Technical Leadership and Subject Matter Expertise
- Serve as the in-house expert on LEED, IGBC and related green building rating systems, and stay current on version updates and credit interpretations.
- Provide technical guidance on energy, water, materials, indoor environmental quality and site sustainability strategies.
- Review and validate the work of junior team members and specialist consultants.
- Contribute to proposals, technical write-ups and internal knowledge resources.
Multidisciplinary Coordination
- Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, structural teams, landscape consultants, contractors and other stakeholders.
- Communicate sustainability requirements clearly and follow up on inputs and documentation from each discipline.
- Resolve cross-disciplinary conflicts to keep credit targets achievable.
Team Mentoring
- Mentor, train and guide junior consultants and engineers.
- Delegate tasks effectively, review outputs and give constructive feedback.
- Foster a cooperative, quality-focused team environment.
Required Qualifications
- LEED AP BD+C (mandatory)
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field. A master's in sustainability or a related area is an advantage.
- 3 years of relevant experience in green building consulting, with a proven record of delivering LEED and/or IGBC projects.
- Experience managing large-scale projects, preferably in the UAE or the wider GCC.
- Strong client-facing skills, with the confidence to handle clients independently.
- Experience coordinating with multiple design and construction disciplines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Working knowledge of energy modelling, daylight simulation or LCA tools.
Key Competencies
- Ownership of projects from start to finish, working independently across both client-facing and technical work
- Strong technical judgement with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once
- Leadership, mentoring and stakeholder management skills
- Problem-solving in fast-paced, high-stakes project environments
What We Offer
- Opportunity to lead large-scale, high-profile projects
- Exposure to international clients and markets
