Location: Chabali, Kadapa District (Mining area and Beneficiation Plant).

Job Summary

The In-Charge O&M;, Iron Ore Beneficiation plant is responsible for overall operation and maintenance of the units, process optimization, coordination with Mining and quality teams, to achieve business objectives of the beneficiation units. The role ensures achievement of production targets, optimum recovery, product quality, cost control, and compliance with environmental and safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications

- B.Tech Mineral Processing, / Metallurgical Engineering, / Mining Engineering, / Mechanical Engineering.
- Diploma candidates with extensive professional record and achievements may also be considered.

Experience

- 15 + years in Operations and Maintenance of Beneficiation Plants (Iron Ore processing is preferred).
- Experience in developing and modifying beneficiation circuits is added advantage.
- Experience in green field / brown field projects, commissioning, or plant expansion is preferred.
- Preferred industry : Iron and Steel, Mineral processing and Beneficiation.

Key Responsibilities

Plant Operations

- Lead day-to-day operations of the beneficiation plant.
- Ensure continuous and effective plant operation with minimum downtime.
- Monitor plant performance and implement corrective actions.
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Optimize plant throughput and recovery.

Process Control and efficiency improvement

- Monitor and control crushing, screening, scrubbing, washing, classification, grinding,



hydro cyclones, jigging, thickeners, spirals, magnetic separators, and dewatering systems.
- Maintain product quality as per customer specifications.
- Optimize process parameters to improve Fe recovery and reduce tailing losses.
- Monitor water balance and slurry density.

Production Planning

- Coordinate with mining, dispatch, quality, and maintenance departments.
- Prepare production schedules based on ROM availability.
- Ensure uninterrupted feed to the beneficiation plant.
- Minimize production losses, improve idle time factors
- Follow Costing per ton / yield / recovery percentages / Fe grade parameters.

Maintenance Coordination

- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Monitor equipment health and availability.
- Ensure timely shutdown planning.
- Coordinate with mechanical and electrical teams.

Quality Control

- Monitor Fe grade, silica, alumina, and moisture content.
- Coordinate with laboratory personnel.
- Ensure compliance with customer quality requirements.
- Maintain quality records and reports.

Vendor Management

- Holds strong networking and acquaintance with all key technical vendors related to process and maintenance support
- Spares identification and utilization
- Full proof contracts and commercial detailing.
- Technical and manpower contractors identification and mobilization.





Safety & Environment

- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety inspections.
- Ensure proper use of PPE.
- Implement safe work practices.
- Monitor tailing disposal and water recycling systems.
- Ensure statutory and environmental compliance.

Team Management

- Supervise operators, supervisors, technicians, and contract manpower.
- Allocate shifts and monitor attendance.
- Train employees on SOPs and safety procedures.
- Conduct performance evaluations and skill development.

Documentation & Reporting

- Prepare daily production reports.
- Maintain shift logs and equipment performance records.
- Monitor plant KPIs.
- Submit MIS reports to management.
- Analyze process and maintenance records for efficiency improvement.

Technical Skills

- Iron Ore Beneficiation Process and awareness of total RMHS processes

(Crushing & Screening, Washing & Scrubbing, Grinding Mills, Jigging, Hydro cyclones, Spiral Concentrators

Magnetic Separators (LIMS/HIMS), Thickeners & Clarifiers, Slurry Pumps, Belt Conveyors, Dewatering Screens

Filter Press, Tailings Management, Water Recovery Systems, Process Optimization, Recovery Improvement Techniques)

- Production Planning, Root Cause Analysis, SAP/ERP (preferred), MS Excel & Reporting.
