Job Overview:
The Collection Assistant Manager oversees the debt collection process, ensuring timely and
effective collection of outstanding debts while maintaining positive relationships with clients
and customers. This role requires solid leadership skills, strategic planning, and the ability
to handle difficult conversations professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Management:
- Lead, supervise, and motivate the collections team.
- Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations for team members.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and
efficiency.
2. Collection Strategy:
- Develop and implement collection policies and procedures.
- Create and monitor collection goals and metrics.
- Identify and analyze trends in debt collection and adjust strategies
accordingly.
3. Customer Interaction:
- Oversee communication with customers regarding outstanding debts.
- Handle escalated customer complaints and disputes.
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements.
4. Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to debt
collection.
- Prepare and present regular reports on collection activities, performance,
