Job Description: MIS Manager Job Title: MIS Manager Designation: Senior Executive / Assistant Manager – MIS Department: Management Information Systems / Project Management Reports To: AVP – Project Management Work Location: Chennai – Arumbakkam (willing to travel to project sites as required) Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are looking for a skilled MIS Manager to own data reporting, analysis, and dashboards that support decision-making across the organization and its projects. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Advanced Excel and Power BI, has strong analytical skills, and is flexible enough to travel and work extended hours during project periods. Key Responsibilities Collect, consolidate, and validate data from multiple departments and project sites. Prepare accurate and timely MIS reports (daily, weekly, and monthly) for management. Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards using Power BI and Excel. Analyze data to identify trends, variances, and performance gaps, and present actionable insights. Automate recurring reports using advanced Excel features, macros/VBA, and Power Query. Track project progress, milestones, KPIs, and budgets, and report deviations to stakeholders. Monitor project cost, budget vs. actuals, resource utilization, and schedule adherence. Prepare executive-level dashboards and review presentations for the AVP and senior leadership. Define, standardize, and maintain KPIs, report formats, and templates across projects. Identify data gaps and process ineAiciencies, and recommend improvements for reporting and data flow.



Conduct regular data quality checks and reconcile figures across departments and sources. Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality across all reports. Coordinate with project managers, site teams, finance, and other cross functional teams to understand reporting needs and deliver on them. Provide ad hoc analysis and reports as requested by management. Maintain documentation of data sources, report logic, and processes. Travel to project sites when required to support on-site data collection, reporting, and coordination. Required Skills and Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree (any discipline; Commerce, IT, Statistics, or Engineering preferred). Experience: 3 to 5 years in an MIS, data analysis, or reporting role. Technical Skills: Advanced Excel Pivot tables and pivot charts, slicers, and timelines Lookup functions: VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH Nested and logical formulas (IF, IFS, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, AVERAGEIFS, SUMPRODUCT) Dynamic array functions (FILTER, UNIQUE, SORT, LET) Power Query and Power Pivot for data cleaning, transformation, and modeling Text, date, and array functions for data cleaning Conditional formatting, data validation, and named ranges What-if analysis, Goal Seek, Solver, and scenario analysis Dashboard creation with charts, form controls,



and interactive elements Macros and VBA for automation (preferred) Sheet protection, data consolidation, and handling large datasets Power BI Data modeling, relationships, and star schema basics DAX (measures, calculated columns, time intelligence) Power Query (M) for data transformation Report and dashboard design, publishing, and sharing via Power BI Service Scheduled data refresh and row-level security (an advantage) Other Technical Skills Working knowledge of MS OAice suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint/Teams) Use of AI tools in Excel (e.g., Copilot) for formula generation, data analysis, summarization, and report automation Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving ability Attention to detail and accuracy Clear communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain data to non-technical audiences Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities Ownership, accountability, and a proactive attitude Team player with solid stakeholder management and coordination skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools Confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive data Other Requirements Willingness to travel to project sites and other locations whenever a project requires it.
