Job Summary

Responsible for operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, configuration and improvement of Distributed Control Systems (DCS Siemens PCS 7 V7) and field instrumentation across cement plant operations. The role will provide technical leadership for reliable, safe and efficient plant control systems.

Key Resposibility:

- Lead and supervise engineers and technicians for DCS and instrumentation activities.
- Handle Siemens PCS 7 V7 DCS configuration, programming, troubleshooting and system maintenance.
- Monitor and maintain field instruments, control loops, transmitters, sensors, control valves and related systems.
- Troubleshoot DCS, PLC, instrumentation and communication-related issues to minimize plant downtime.
- Support DCS modifications, system upgrades, commissioning and optimization projects.
- Ensure proper calibration, preventive maintenance and reliability of field instrumentation.
- Coordinate with Operations, Electrical, Mechanical and other departments for smooth plant operation.
- Manage instrumentation projects, including planning, execution, budgeting and scheduling.
- Maintain DCS configuration, instrumentation drawings, technical documents and maintenance records.




- Ensure compliance with plant safety standards, statutory requirements and applicable engineering practices.
- Provide technical guidance and training to engineers and technicians.
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for process control, reliability and automation.
- Coordinate with OEMs/vendors for technical support, troubleshooting and project execution.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on knowledge of Siemens PCS 7 V7 DCS.
- DCS configuration, programming and troubleshooting.
- Robust knowledge of field instrumentation and control systems.
- Knowledge of control loops, PLC/DCS communication and industrial networks.
- Troubleshooting of transmitters, control valves, sensors and other process instruments.
- Project execution and team-handling skills.
- Valuable analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Eligibility:

- B.E./B.Tech. in Instrumentation, Electronics & Communication, or related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in DCS and field instrumentation.
- Experience in cement manufacturing / process industry preferred.
- Candidates with experience in Siemens PCS 7 DCS will be preferred.
- Willingness to work in a plant environment and support on-call/shift requirements as required.

Working Conditions:
Working in industrial environments, which could include exposure to noise, heat, or hazardous materials.
Possible on-call duties or shift work.

This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and safety of operations in various area of plant sections.
May require occasional travel to project sites or vendor locations.
