A. Job Purpose

To support the Intellectual Property function through comprehensive literature surveys, prior art searches, and patent drafting assistance, while providing sound scientific inputs to R&D; and patent strategy as required.

B. Key Role Tasks

- Conduct in-depth literature surveys and prior art searches using scientific and patent databases (e.g., SciFinder) to support novelty and patentability assessments.
- Assist in drafting patent specifications, claims, and supporting technical documentation in coordination with patent attorneys and R&D; scientists.
- Perform freedom-to-operate (FTO) and patent landscape analyses to identify white spaces and potential infringement risks.
- Provide scientific and technical inputs for patent prosecution, office action responses, and invention disclosure evaluations as and when required.
- Track competitor patent filings and emerging technology trends relevant to the personal care and cosmetics domain.
- Maintain accurate records of searches, drafts, and IP documentation in compliance with confidentiality and quality standards.
- Collaborate with R&D;, formulation, and legal teams to align IP strategy with ongoing research and product development.
