Role OverviewWe are looking for an IT Support / IT Administrator to manage the company’s day-to-day IT requirements. The role will be responsible for providing technical support to employees, troubleshooting computer and network-related issues, maintaining system inventory, managing software and IT licences, and ensuring that company IT systems and equipment remain operational and properly maintained.
Key Responsibilities1. IT Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide day-to-day technical support to employees for computer, laptop, printer and other IT-related issues.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems.
- Troubleshoot operating system, application, email, internet and connectivity issues.
- Install, configure and maintain computers, laptops, printers and other IT equipment.
- Assist employees with basic technical queries and system-related issues.
- Coordinate with external IT vendors/service providers when required.
2. System & Asset Management
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all company laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, networking equipment and other IT assets.
- Maintain records of asset allocation to employees.
- Track new purchases, replacements, repairs and disposal of IT equipment.
- Ensure all IT assets are properly documented and accounted for.
- Conduct periodic checks of IT assets and update inventory records.
3. Software & Licence Management
- Maintain a complete record of all software, applications and IT licences used by the company.
- Track licence validity, renewal dates and subscription costs.
- Ensure software licences are renewed before expiry.
- Monitor software installations and ensure only authorised/licensed software is used.
- Maintain records of user access and subscriptions for relevant applications.
4. Network & Connectivity Support
- Troubleshoot basic internet, Wi-Fi, LAN and connectivity issues.
- Coordinate with the internet/network service provider for outages and technical problems.
- Support basic configuration and maintenance of routers, switches and other networking equipment.
- Monitor recurring connectivity issues and coordinate appropriate solutions.
5. IT Security & Maintenance
- Ensure company computers have appropriate antivirus/security software installed and updated.
- Assist with system updates, patches and routine maintenance.
- Support basic user access and password-related requirements.
- Follow company policies relating to data security and access to company systems.
- Escalate any suspected security or data-related issues to management immediately.
6. Employee Onboarding & Offboarding
- Prepare laptops/computers and required software for new employees.
- Set up required user accounts, applications and access.
- Maintain proper records of IT assets issued to employees.
- Collect and check IT equipment during employee exit/offboarding.
- Disable or coordinate removal of access as required.
7. Vendor & IT Service Coordination
- Coordinate with external vendors for hardware repairs, AMC services, internet, software and other IT requirements.
- Obtain quotations where required and maintain records of IT-related purchases and services.
- Follow up on pending repairs, replacements and service requests.
- Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in IT support, desktop support or IT administration.
- Valuable knowledge of Windows operating systems and common business applications.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, networking, Wi-Fi and internet connectivity.
- Experience in maintaining IT asset and software licence records.
- Positive communication and employee-support skills.
- Ability to manage multiple IT issues and prioritise urgent requirements.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Preferred ExperienceExperience supporting 30–100+ employees in an office environment.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 or similar business applications.
- Experience managing laptops, desktops, printers and networking equipment.
- Experience coordinating with external IT vendors.
- Familiarity with basic IT security and data protection practices.
- Key ExpectationsEnsure employees receive timely support for IT-related issues.
- Maintain accurate and updated IT asset and licence records.
- Minimise downtime caused by computer, software or connectivity issues.
- Ensure all company IT equipment is properly tracked and maintained.
- Proactively identify recurring IT issues and recommend practical solutions.
- Maintain confidentiality of company information and systems.
