Qualification

- Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University.

- MBA/PGDM in Operations, Infrastructure Management, Logistics, Business

Administration, or equivalent qualification shall be preferred.

- Proficiency in MS Office, MIS reporting, and highway/toll management systems

Experience

- Minimum 12 years of experience in Highway Operations & Maintenance, Toll

Operations, Traffic Management, or Infrastructure Operations.

- At least 5 years of experience in a managerial position on NHAI/BOT/HAM/TOT/InvIT

or similar highway projects.

- Experience in managing route operations, incident management, road safety

initiatives, stakeholder coordination, service level compliance, and regulatory

requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage overall route operations and ensure compliance with Concession Agreement

requirements, NHAI guidelines, and prescribed Service Level Standards.

- Ensure secure, efficient, and uninterrupted movement of traffic throughout the project

corridor.

- Monitor traffic volume, lane efficiency, toll collection trends, and operational

performance indicators.

- Conduct regular route inspections and ensure timely closure of operational

deficiencies.

- Coordinate with NHAI, Independent Engineer, traffic police, district administration,

emergency services, and other stakeholders for smooth project operations.

- Ensure compliance with NHAI Road Safety Policy, IRC standards, and applicable road

safety requirements.

- Conduct regular road safety inspections and identify potential safety hazards on the

project corridor.

- Monitor and ensure the proper condition of traffic signs, pavement markings, crash

barriers, delineators, median openings,



reflectors, guardrails, and other road safety

assets.

Internal

- Analyse accident data and initiate corrective actions for accident-prone locations and

identified black spots.

- Facilitate Road Safety Audits and ensure implementation of audit observations and

recommendations.

- Ensure operational readiness of ambulances, cranes, route patrol vehicles, recovery

equipment, and incident response teams.

- Monitor response time and effectiveness during accidents, vehicle breakdowns,

emergencies, and traffic disruptions.

- Coordinate incident management activities and ensure timely restoration of normal

traffic conditions.

- Oversee routine and periodic maintenance activities to ensure highway assets are

maintained at prescribed service levels.

- Monitor the condition of pavement, drainage systems, structures, illumination

systems, road furniture, and other highway assets.

- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, service providers, and maintenance agencies for

effective execution of project activities.

- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, statutory requirements,

environmental regulations, and company policies.

- Review operational, traffic, toll, incident, and road safety performance and implement

continuous improvement initiatives.

- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic reports related to operations,

traffic, incidents, road safety, and compliance requirements.

- Support audits, inspections, and reviews conducted by NHAI, Independent Engineer,

lenders, and regulatory authorities.

- Manage project resources effectively and monitor operational expenditure in line with

approved budgets.
