About Us

NKM Fashion is a leading textile house based in Surat, specializing in premium pure fabrics. We are looking for a Senior Textile Designer to lead our design vertical for pure digital prints.

Role Summary

n

We need a creative and technically strong designer with proven expertise in *pure digital printed fabrics* (Cotton, Viscose, Silk, Linen, Muslin). You will be responsible for end-to-end print creation — from trend research and concept development to final production-ready files.

Key Responsibilities

n

*1. Print Design & Development*

n

n
- Create original, commercial print collections: All-over, placement, border, and panel prints specifically for pure fabrics.
n
- Develop new concepts, motifs, and textures keeping in mind the behavior of pure fabrics in digital printing.
n
- Create multiple colorways, repeats, and harmonious collections.
n

n

*2. Trend Analysis & Research*

n

n
- Lead seasonal research on international & domestic trends, color forecasts (WGSN, Pantone), market movements and buyer preferences.
n
- Present mood boards, theme boards, and collection stories for each season.
n

n

*3. Technical Expertise*

n

n
- Prepare flawless, production-ready artwork with perfect repeat setting, scaling, and color correction for pure fabrics.
n
- Deep knowledge of digital printing process on pure - color fastness, color bleeding,



fabric shrinkage and final finishing.
n
- Collaborate with the printing & processing team for strike-offs, color approvals and quality control.
n

*4. Other Textile Techniques*

n

n
- Knowledge of additional techniques like embroidery placement, foil, discharge effects that complement digital prints.
n
- Guide junior designers on design principles and software skills.
n

n

Required Skills & Qualifications

n

n
- *Technical Skills:* Expert in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator. Proficiency in textile CAD (NedGraphics / AVA / TexPro) is highly preferred.
n
- *Fabric Knowledge:* Solid understanding of pure fabric constructions, weaves, and how prints sit on different pure bases.
n
- *Design Sense:* Exceptional sense of color, repeat, layout, and detailing. Strong portfolio focused on pure digital prints is a MUST.
n
- *Education:* B.Des/M.Des in Textile Design, Fashion Textile, or Fine Arts from NIFT, NID or reputed institute preferred.
n
- *Soft Skills:* Leadership, attention to detail, ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple collections.
n
