Senior GenAI Engineer

Role Overview

n

We are looking for a Senior GenAI Engineer with robust core engineering foundations and

n

hands-on experience building and deploying GenAI solutions. This role is execution- and

n

ownership-focused — responsible for delivering GenAI features end-to-end (backend +

n

frontend), working with agentic AI workflows, and mentoring junior engineers while handling

n

ambiguous requirements.

n

This position is part of our GenAI hiring phase, where we prioritize strong full-stack/backend

n

engineers who have recently built and shipped GenAI and agentic AI solutions in production.

n

Experience Profile

n

n
- Overall experience: 5–8 years
n
- Core engineering background: Python (Django / FastAPI) + React
n
- GenAI experience: 2-3+ years of hands-on, production-level experience, including Agentic AI.
n

n

Key Responsibilities

n

GenAI Solution Development

n

● Build and deploy GenAI-powered features within real-world products, spanning backend

n

(Python — Django/FastAPI) and frontend (React) layers.

n

● Design and implement RAG pipelines, including:

n

○ Embeddings

n

○ Vector databases

n

○ Retrieval strategies

n

n
- Integrate GenAI capabilities with backend systems via APIs and services.
n
- Build responsive, GenAI-integrated UI/UX components in React to surface AI-driven
n

n

features to end users.

n

System & Solution Ownership

n

● Own GenAI solutions end-to-end, from design to production rollout — across backend,

n

frontend, and AI layers.

n





● Design RAG architectures and decide:

n

○ Chunking strategies

n

○ Retrieval approaches

n

● Handle ambiguous requirements and convert them into working, shippable solutions.

n

Reliability, Quality & Performance

n

n
- Address latency, cost, and evaluation considerations in GenAI systems.
n
- Implement guardrails and safety mechanisms.
n
- Contribute to monitoring and basic operational readiness.
n

n

Agentic AI (Core Focus)

n

● Build and own agent-based workflows, including:

n

○ Multi-step reasoning flows

n

○ Tool/function calling

n

○ Orchestrated GenAI interactions

n

● Work hands-on with agent frameworks to design and deploy production-grade agentic

n

systems (deep research not required, but practical build experience expected).

n

Mentoring & Collaboration

n

n
- Mentor junior engineers working on GenAI components.
n
- Review GenAI-related code and designs, across both backend and frontend
n

n

implementations.

n

● Collaborate closely with backend, frontend, data, and product teams.

n

Must-Have Skills

n

n
- Strong engineering experience in Python (Django / FastAPI) and React.
n
- Hands-on experience building GenAI applications in production.
n
- Experience with:

○ RAG pipelines

○ Vector databases

○ LLM APIs

n

○ Agentic AI (multi-step reasoning, tool/function calling, orchestration)

- Solid understanding of API design and backend integrations.
n
- Ability to reason about trade-offs in performance, cost, and reliability. Nice-to-Have Skills

- Familiarity with evaluation frameworks for GenAI.
n
- Exposure to cloud-native deployments.
n
- Experience mentoring junior engineers.
