Role Overview

Set up and scale the Gold Loan business from inception, with end-to-end responsibility for business strategy, operating model, team building. Build a profitable, compliant and scalable lending franchise.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop the business plan, investment requirements, launch roadmap and profitability milestones.
- Define target markets, select geographies and execute a phased branch rollout.
- Build the leadership and field teams across sales, operations and supporting functions.
- Design the product offering, pricing, customer acquisition and distribution strategy.
- Establish appraisal, gold custody, vault security, insurance and auction processes.
- Partner with Risk, Credit, Compliance, Operations and Technology to build policies, systems and controls for launch.
- Set up appraiser and vendor networks,



partnerships and digital lead channels.
- Own AUM, disbursement, revenue and PBT targets; drive branch productivity and break-even.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, portfolio quality and a consistent customer experience as the business scales.

Candidate Profile

MBA / CA or equivalent postgraduate qualification.

15 years in retail lending, including at least 7 years in gold loans.

Proven experience setting up or significantly expanding a gold loan business, with P&L; ownership.

Robust track record in branch rollout, team building and operational readiness.

Sound understanding of gold lending regulations, risk controls and branch economics.
