Key Responsibilities

1. Provide final approval and sanction of loan proposals across all loan products within the assigned zone/state, ensuring adherence to the organization's credit policy and risk framework.
2. Conduct regular analysis of credit, portfolio, and operational trends within the zone to facilitate informed credit decisions and strengthen portfolio quality.
3. Actively participate in the recruitment and selection of Branch Credit Managers and other field credit team members to build a competent and high-performing workforce.
4. Undertake periodic branch monitoring visits to assess credit processes, identify operational or compliance gaps, and submit actionable reports to the concerned authorities.
5. Lead, monitor, and supervise the Credit team across the assigned zone, ensuring operational efficiency, productivity, and compliance with organizational standards.
6. Ensure timely compliance with and closure of all Internal Audit observations and corrective action plans within the zone.
7. Organize and conduct regular training sessions, performance reviews,



and mentoring initiatives to enhance the competency, quality, and effectiveness of the Credit team.
8. Participate in cross-functional forums, review meetings, and training programs to improve turnaround time (TAT), strengthen credit controls, and drive continuous process improvements.
9. Serve as an active member of the State Leadership Team by contributing to strategic planning, business performance reviews, and organizational decision-making.
10. Collaborate closely with Business, Operations, Risk, and other support functions to ensure balanced business growth while maintaining portfolio quality and credit discipline.
11. Drive adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and standard operating procedures across all credit-related activities within the assigned zone.
12. Monitor key credit performance indicators, recommend corrective measures where required, and support the achievement of business objectives without compromising risk standards.
