Role Objective

Ensure that all company websites remain quick, secure, stable, mobile-friendly, technically SEO-ready, and conversion-focused. The developer will identify and resolve issues found through performance, technical SEO, security, accessibility/usability, and functionality testing, while enabling timely delivery of marketing pages and campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

A. Website Performance & Core Web Vitals

- Audit and optimize website speed and performance across desktop and mobile.
- Improve Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, and CLS) and monitor field data where available.
- Optimize images, CSS, JavaScript, fonts, caching, database queries, and server response time.
- Use PageSpeed Insights, Lighthouse, GTmetrix, and other suitable tools to diagnose issues.
- Maintain performance following new page launches, plugin updates, and feature releases.

B. Technical SEO & Website Health

- Resolve technical issues reported by Google Search Console, Semrush, and other SEO tools.
- Manage technical implementation of redirects, canonical tags, XML sitemaps, robots.txt, and indexation controls.
- Identify and fix broken internal links, 404 errors, redirect chains, crawlability issues, and server errors.
- Implement, maintain, and validate schema markup and structured data.
- Ensure important pages are crawlable, indexable, responsive, and technically sound.
- Coordinate with the SEO team on technical fixes that affect organic visibility.

C. WordPress Development & Maintenance

- Manage WordPress core, themes, plugins, page builders, and site configurations.
- Build and customize landing pages, service pages, product pages, blogs, and campaign pages.
- Develop responsive layouts using Elementor, Gutenberg, or other relevant page builders.
- Write and troubleshoot custom PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress functionality.




- Maintain staging environments and test changes before production deployment.
- Resolve plugin conflicts, theme issues, broken layouts, and website functionality problems.

D. Security, Backups & Reliability

- Maintain WordPress security, SSL, access controls, and secure configurations.
- Apply WordPress, plugin, and theme updates after compatibility checks.
- Configure automated backups and periodically verify restoration procedures.
- Identify and address malware, vulnerabilities, suspicious scripts, and unauthorized changes.
- Monitor uptime, server errors, hosting resources, and website availability.
- Coordinate with hosting/server support teams when infrastructure-level assistance is required.

E. Marketing & Conversion Support

- Build and optimize landing pages for SEO, paid campaigns, and lead generation.
- Implement and troubleshoot forms, calls to action, tracking codes, and conversion elements.
- Support GA4, Google Tag Manager, and relevant marketing pixel implementations.
- Improve navigation, mobile usability, page flow, and user experience.
- Work with Digital Marketing, SEO, content, design, and business teams to deliver website updates.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 3-5 years of hands-on WordPress development experience; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
- Strong working knowledge of WordPress, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.
- Experience with Elementor, Gutenberg, custom themes, and child themes.
- Hands-on knowledge of Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights, and GTmetrix.
- Experience with caching, image optimization, CDNs, and Cloudflare.
- Understanding of technical SEO, schema markup, canonical tags, redirects, and crawl/index controls.
- Experience with WordPress security, backups, staging, migration, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Google Search Console, GA4, and Google Tag Manager.
- Ability to manage multiple websites, prioritize issues, document changes, and work cross-functionally.
