Looking for a Windows & VMware L4 Technical Expert with 12–18+ years of strong hands on experience in enterprise infrastructure. Expert level knowledge of Windows Server, VMware ESXi, vCenter, HA/DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion, VMware networking/storage and Windows Failover Clustering. Mandatory experience in Data Center migrations, VMware cluster migrations and complex infrastructure transformation projects. Candidate must possess exceptional troubleshooting and RCA skills and be capable of independently resolving critical Windows/VMware issues across OS, virtualization, storage and network layers.
Strong
PowerShell/PowerCLI skills and experience handling P1/P2 incidents are highly desirable. This is a hands on L4 SME role, not a coordination/management position.
Key Responsibilities
1. Windows Server – L4 Expertise
. Provide L4 technical support for complex Windows Server issues. . Strong hands on administration and troubleshooting of: Windows Server 2016/2019/2022/2025 Active Directory DNS/DHCP Group Policy Kerberos/NTLM authentication Failover Clustering Windows Server networking IIS Windows services and components
. Troubleshoot complex: OS performance issues Memory/CPU problems Disk and filesystem issues Blue Screen/BSOD Application crashes Authentication failures Domain trust issues GPO problems DNS resolution issues Windows Update/patching failures
. Analyze Windows Event Logs, dump files, performance counters and system traces.
. Perform deep root cause analysis rather than workaround based resolution.
. Engage Microsoft Support for complex product defects when required.

. Perform advanced log analysis using ESXi/vCenter logs.
. Identify whether issues originate from VMware, Windows, Storage or Network and drive resolution with the respective teams.
1. Data Center Migration – SME Strong experience in end to end Data Center migration projects is mandatory.

. Cluster build and configuration.
. vCenter integration.
. HA/DRS configuration.
. Network configuration.
. Storage/datastore migration.
. VM migration using vMotion/Storage vMotion.
. Validate VM dependencies before migration.
. Handle legacy to new cluster migration.
. Perform cluster to cluster workload migration.
. Troubleshoot failed vMotion/migration activities.
. Perform post migration performance and availability validation.
. Execute rollback when required.
Expected Scenario
