Welder – Key Duties & Responsibilities

- Perform MIG, TIG, ARC and gas welding as required for plant maintenance and fabrication work.

- Carry out welding, cutting, grinding, drilling and fabrication activities as per job requirements.

- Read and understand fabrication drawings, dimensions and welding symbols.

- Repair and maintain plant machinery, pipelines, tanks, structures, supports and equipment.

- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance welding works.

- Ensure proper weld quality, alignment, strength and finishing of fabricated components.

- Select suitable welding electrodes, rods, wires, gas and welding parameters according to the job.

- Inspect completed welds and rectify defects such as cracks, porosity, undercut and improper joints.

- Follow work permit, hot-work permit and safety procedures before starting welding activities.





- Use welding machines, gas cutting equipment, grinders and other tools safely.

- Ensure proper use of PPE, including welding helmet, gloves, safety shoes, apron and face shield.

- Maintain welding machines, tools and equipment in good working condition.

- Coordinate with the Maintenance, Production and Engineering teams for welding and fabrication requirements.

- Maintain housekeeping and ensure removal of welding slag, scrap and other waste after completing the job.

- Follow company quality, safety, hygiene and statutory requirements at all times.

Pay: From ₹360,000.00 per year
