A. Design & Engineering

- Lead the complete Design & Engineering function and allocate work among Design Engineers and Draftsmen.
- Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, BOMs and technical documents.
- Ensure designs meet customer requirements, applicable engineering standards and internal quality requirements.
- Lead design activities for centrifugal fans, blowers and associated mechanical equipment.
- Review fan performance parameters including flow, pressure, temperature, RPM, power, efficiency and operating conditions.
- Review design of impellers, casings, shafts, bearings, base frames, couplings and other critical components.
- Ensure designs are safe, reliable, economical and suitable for manufacturing and installation.
- Provide technical solutions for complex design and engineering issues.

B. Project & Customer Engineering

- Review customer specifications, technical requirements, RFQs, purchase orders and project documents.
- Identify technical deviations, risks, exclusions and clarification requirements.
- Coordinate with customers, consultants, EPC contractors and inspection agencies on technical matters.
- Review and approve technical drawings and documents before submission to customers.
- Ensure timely incorporation of customer comments and revisions.
- Provide technical support to Sales and Project teams during order execution.
- Support technical discussions during inspection, testing, commissioning and site activities.

C. Manufacturing & Quality Support

- Coordinate closely with Production, Fabrication, Assembly and Quality departments.




- Ensure designs are practical, economical and suitable for available manufacturing processes.
- Resolve design-related production issues and technical queries.
- Minimize design errors, manufacturing rework and engineering-related NCRs.
- Support inspection, performance testing, balancing, vibration testing and factory acceptance testing.
- Analyze field problems and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure engineering changes are properly reviewed, approved and documented.

D. Design Optimization & Product Development

- Drive value engineering, cost reduction and material optimization initiatives.
- Promote standardization of components, drawings and design practices.
- Develop and improve existing products based on customer and market requirements.
- Lead recent product development, prototype development and technical validation.
- Coordinate with external agencies for FEA, CFD, vibration analysis or specialized engineering studies where required.
- Implement lessons learned from completed projects and field feedback.

E. Team Leadership

- Lead, mentor and develop the Design & Engineering team.
- Establish priorities and monitor engineering schedules and deliverables.
- Review team performance,



productivity and technical competency.
- Identify training requirements and develop technical capabilities within the team.
- Establish proper design review, checking and approval systems.
- Promote discipline, innovation, accountability and continuous improvement.

4. Qualification & Experience

Preferred:

- M.E./MTech in Mechanical Design / Machine Design or related specialization.

Experience

- 15-20 years of relevant experience in Design & Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years in a Design/Engineering leadership or managerial role.
- Experience in centrifugal fans, blowers, rotating equipment, industrial equipment, process equipment or heavy engineering will be preferred.
- Experience in Engineering-to-Order (ETO) / project-based manufacturing will be an advantage.
- Exposure to Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Cement, Steel, Fertilizer or other process industries will be preferred.

Software Knowledge: AutoCAD, SolidWorks/Creo/Inventor or equivalent 3D CAD software, MS Office/Excel and ERP/MRP systems. Knowledge of FEA/CFD software will be an advantage. 5. Behavioral Competencies
