We are seeking an experienced Visiting Faculty/Subject Matter Expert in Applied Statistics and Data Analysis to deliver postgraduate-level teaching on statistical methods, data interpretation, and evidence-based decision-making in sports science, strength and conditioning, and high-performance sports.

The faculty member will deliver theoretical and practical sessions using JAMOVI, enabling students to develop proficiency in descriptive and inferential statistics, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, statistical modelling and research data interpretation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver lectures, workshops and practical sessions covering all five modules of Applied Statistics.

Teach descriptive statistics, including measures of central tendency, dispersion and variability, using athlete performance datasets.

Explain inferential statistics, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, t-tests and p-values in sports performance research.

Train students in ANOVA, post-hoc analysis and Chi-squared tests for comparing groups and analysing categorical data.

Teach linear and logistic regression, predictive modelling and interpretation of statistical outputs.

Explain statistical power, effect sizes, sample size calculations,



and how to identify and control confounding variables.

Conduct hands-on training using JAMOVI for statistical analysis, data visualisation and interpretation.

Develop practical exercises and case studies using strength and conditioning, exercise physiology, athlete performance and injury-related datasets.

Guide students in interpreting statistical findings and applying them to evidence-based coaching, training and research decisions.

Assess student assignments, practical exercises, statistical reports and research projects.

Ensure students understand statistical assumptions, limitations, data integrity and appropriate interpretation of research findings.

Educational Qualifications

PhD or Master's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science, Sports Science, Exercise Physiology, Mathematics, Public Health or a related discipline.

- Solid academic background in applied statistics, statistical modelling and quantitative research methods.
- Candidates with relevant research experience and expertise in statistical analysis may also be considered.
