Description

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Payroll to join our Payroll – Time and Attendance. This role is located in Pune.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

Position Summary: The Vice President, Global Time and Attendance, will lead the strategy, governance, and end-to-end delivery of Time, Labor, and Absence services across multiple countries. The role requires deep subject matter expertise, strong people and operational leadership, and the ability to influence senior leaders, works councils, vendors, technology partners, payroll teams, and country stakeholders. The successful candidate will ensure accurate, compliant, and reliable time and attendance outcomes while advancing process standardization, system capability, control effectiveness, and employee experience.

- Functional strategy and governance: Define the global Time and Attendance strategy, service model, governance framework, standards, and roadmap in alignment with People, Payroll, Finance, Risk, Legal, and Technology priorities.

- Subject matter leadership: Serve as the senior authority for time capture, work schedules, overtime, premiums, leave and absence interfaces, exception management, approvals, manager hierarchies, and downstream payroll impacts.

- Multi-country operations: Lead delivery across complex geographies, ensuring consistent controls and service standards while accommodating local legislation, collective labor arrangements, working-time requirements, and country-specific practices.

- Compliance and risk: Maintain compliance with labor laws, working-time regulations, shop agreements, internal policies, audit requirements, record-retention standards, and payroll control expectations; proactively identify and mitigate operational and regulatory risks.

- Works council engagement:



Partner with Employee Relations, Legal, and local leadership to prepare and support works council consultations, information requirements, approvals, and implementation of policy or system changes.

- Stakeholder leadership: Build trusted relationships with senior leaders, country People teams, Payroll, Technology, Finance, Risk, Legal, managers, and employees; provide clear decisions, executive updates, and escalation leadership.

- Vendor management: Own vendor governance, service performance, contractual obligations, issue escalation, root-cause resolution, change delivery, and continuous improvement across external service and technology providers.

- Technology and change: Govern the functional design, configuration, testing, user acceptance, release readiness, and adoption of Time and Attendance platforms and integrations, including interfaces to payroll and workforce systems.

- Operational performance: Establish and monitor service levels, controls, ticket volumes, backlogs, ageing, accuracy, timeliness, and customer experience metrics; drive corrective actions and sustainable improvement.

- Transformation: Simplify and standardize processes, identify automation opportunities, strengthen data quality, and lead implementation of global and country-specific enhancements.

- People leadership: Build, develop, and retain a high-performing global team; set clear accountabilities, strengthen subject matter capability,



and foster an inclusive, collaborative, and control-focused culture.

- Business continuity: Maintain resilient operations through capacity planning, cross-training, documented procedures, contingency arrangements, and effective management of critical incidents.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

- Significant experience leading Time and Attendance, Time and Labor, Workforce Management, Payroll, HR Operations, or a closely related global function.

- Deep knowledge of timekeeping processes, working-time rules, absence interactions, payroll dependencies, compliance controls, and employee data management.

- Demonstrated leadership of multi-country operations and complex stakeholder groups across different regulatory and cultural environments.

- Proven experience engaging works councils, employee representative bodies, Legal, Employee Relations, and country leadership on policy, process, or technology change.

- Strong vendor-management experience, including performance governance, commercial oversight, escalations, service recovery, and change delivery.

- Experience with enterprise Time and Attendance platforms, payroll integrations, functional design, testing, implementation, and production support; exposure to tools such as SAP Fiori or Oracle is advantageous.

- Solid executive communication, influencing, negotiation, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.

- Demonstrated ability to lead global teams, manage competing priorities, and deliver measurable improvements in service, risk, cost, and employee experience.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience; relevant HR, payroll, workforce management, project, or risk qualifications are preferred.
