Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Associate – Venture Capital to join the investment team of a leading alternate investment platform. The role will work closely with senior investment professionals and support the entire VC investment lifecycle—from deal origination and evaluation through due diligence, investment execution and post-investment monitoring .

Key Responsibilities

- Support deal sourcing, screening and evaluation of potential investment opportunities.
- Engage with Founders, CXOs and other key stakeholders of potential investee companies.
- Conduct detailed company, sector and market research , including market sizing and competitive benchmarking.
- Develop and review financial models, valuations and investment analysis .
- Prepare Investment Committee (IC) decks, investment presentations and supporting analysis .
- Manage the end-to-end due diligence process , including customer, investor and other relevant diligence.
- Support deal negotiations, transaction structuring and deal closure .
- Coordinate and review transaction documentation , agreements, amendments and related documents.
- Work closely with external stakeholders including investment bankers, VC/PE investors, family offices, lawyers and due diligence advisors.
- Monitor portfolio companies post-investment,



including financial performance, operations, key developments, corporate actions and exits .
- Manage multiple live investment opportunities and deliverables simultaneously.

Experience & Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant experience , with a strong combination of Venture Capital investing and Investment Banking/M&A; experience.
- Significant hands-on experience in VC deal evaluation and execution , preferably having worked on 10+ investments/deals .
- Prior Investment Banking exposure to M&A; and/or Financial Sponsors transactions.
- MBA from a reputed business school with a strong foundation in finance, accounting and entrepreneurship.
- Engineering background or CA qualification would be preferred.
- Strong financial modelling, analytical, research and presentation skills.
- Ability to independently evaluate businesses and develop views on companies, sectors and investment opportunities .
- Robust written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced investment environment and manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
