Reports To: Middle School Coordinator / Principal

1. Job Purpose

To facilitate effective teaching and learning of English for Middle School students by creating an engaging, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment. The teacher will be responsible for developing students' language proficiency, communication skills, critical thinking, creativity, and appreciation of literature in alignment with the school's academic curriculum and pedagogical practices.
1. Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

- Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging, and age-appropriate English lessons.
- Implement the prescribed curriculum effectively, ensuring learning objectives and outcomes are achieved.
- Develop students' proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, and literature appreciation.
- Use differentiated teaching strategies to address varied learning needs and abilities.
- Integrate experiential, activity-based, collaborative, and inquiry-based learning approaches.
- Encourage students to express themselves confidently and develop effective communication skills.
- Integrate appropriate technology and digital resources to enhance classroom learning.

Assessment & Academic Progress

- Prepare and conduct formative and summative assessments as per the school's assessment framework.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of students' academic progress.
- Provide constructive and timely feedback to students.
- Identify learning gaps and implement appropriate remedial/enrichment strategies.
- Participate in question-paper setting, moderation, correction, and analysis as required.
- Contribute to academic planning and curriculum review.

Classroom Management & Student Development

- Create a safe, respectful, inclusive, and positive classroom workplace.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively while promoting discipline and student responsibility.




- Understand individual student needs and provide appropriate academic and emotional support within the teacher's role.
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and independent learning.
- Promote values, life skills, responsible citizenship, and positive behaviour through classroom practices.

Parent & Stakeholder Engagement

- Communicate students' academic progress and areas of development appropriately with parents.
- Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings and other parent engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively with Coordinators, HODs, fellow teachers, and other stakeholders.

Co-Curricular & School Responsibilities

- Participate actively in school events, assemblies, clubs, competitions, literary activities, and celebrations.
- Encourage students to participate in debates, elocution, creative writing, public speaking, theatre, quizzes, reading programmes, and other language-related activities.
- Take responsibility for assigned duties, events, house activities, and other school initiatives.
- Support school-wide programmes and initiatives aligned with the school's vision and values.

Professional Development

- Participate actively in internal and external training programmes.
- Stay updated with contemporary teaching methodologies, educational technology, and developments in English language and literature.
- Reflect on teaching practices and continuously work towards professional improvement.
- Collaborate with peers to share best practices and develop innovative teaching resources.

1. Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in English or a relevant discipline.
- B.Ed. is mandatory.
- Additional qualifications/certifications in English language teaching or education will be an advantage.

1. Experience

- 2–5 years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in a reputed CBSE/ICSE/IB/International school.
- Experience teaching English at the Middle School level will be preferred.
- Candidates with experience in curriculum planning, assessment, and student engagement initiatives will be an added advantage.

Note: The role may involve additional academic and school-related responsibilities as assigned by the Middle School Coordinator, Principal, or Academic Leadership Team. Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹46,000.00 per month
