We are hiring: Tax Research Writer (Intern)
At Ikshana, we work on US federal and state tax matters for individuals and businesses, from return filings and penalty issues to international provisions, multi-state filings and labor laws. We're looking for someone who enjoys digging into tax rules and explaining them clearly.
What you'll do
- Research US federal and state tax topics using primary sources (Internal Revenue Code, Treasury regulations, IRS guidance, and state tax statutes and department of revenue guidance)
- Distill complex information into explicit, structured written summaries and internal memos.
- Prepare drafts of blog posts, client alerts, explainers and internal research notes
- Turn complex technical rules into clear, accurate, readable content
- Work closely with our senior tax team, who will review and guide your work
Who we're looking for
- EA, CA/CMA Inter, CS,
or Commerce/Law graduates with a strong interest in US tax with 0–1 years of experience.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with audit teams and presenting findings in a professional manner.
- Curiosity and attention to detail: you check the source, not just the summary
- Strong research capabilities, including the ability to locate, interpret, and synthesize U.S. tax laws and regulatory guidance (Research, Analytical Skills).
- Demonstrated skill in producing clear, well-structured written materials for technical and non-technical audiences (Research Writing, Writing).

Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM
