- DevOps Reports To: Senior Cloud Architect About the Role We are looking for a proactive, highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure &
- DevOps Engineer with 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience managing multi-cloud environments across AWS and GCP. In this role, you will leverage deep Linux fundamentals and networking expertise to architect and spin up infrastructure from the ground up, establish automated CI/CD and GitOps workflows, configure web servers, and implement robust cloud-based observability solutions. You will collaborate closely with internal engineering teams to triage and troubleshoot incidents, evaluate existing architectures, and proactively propose modern, high-performance, and cost-effective improvements.
Key Responsibilities 1. Ground-Up Infrastructure, Linux Administration &
- Web Servers - Lead the provisioning, configuration, and security hardening of multi-cloud infrastructure from scratch on AWS and GCP using Terraform (IaC).
- Perform deep-dive Linux system administration, including kernel/OS-level performance tuning, systemd service management, storage management, and OS-level security hardening (Ubuntu, Debian, RHEL based systems).
- Install, configure, optimize, and troubleshoot web servers and reverse proxies such as Nginx and Apache (virtual hosts, load balancing, proxy buffering, rewrite rules, and SSL/TLS certificate management). 2.
Cloud
Networking &
• Security Architecture - Design and implement secure, scalable cloud networking topologies across AWS and GCP (VPCs, Public/Private Subnets, NAT Gateways, Route Tables, Internet Gateways, and VPC Peering/Cloud Interconnect).
- Manage DNS (Route53, Cloud DNS),
SSL/TLS termination, Security Groups/Firewall rules, and VPN connections.
- Diagnose and resolve complex network bottlenecks, latency issues, and connectivity drops across distributed microservices.
- CI/CD &
- GitOps Automation - Build, scale, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for build, test, and container packaging workflows.
- Implement declarative GitOps deployment workflows using ArgoCD for automated Kubernetes application delivery.
- Manage containerized workloads using Docker and managed Kubernetes clusters (EKS / GKE).
- Logging, Monitoring &
- Observability - Design, implement, and maintain centralized logging, metrics collection, and alerting stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, AWS CloudWatch, GCP Cloud Operations / Stackdriver).
- Set up actionable dashboards, real-time alert triggers, and Service Level Objectives (SLIs/SLOs) to ensure high platform uptime and reliability.
- Troubleshooting, Collaboration &
- Continuous Improvement - Partner closely with backend, frontend, and QA teams to assist in regular troubleshooting, debug deployment/build failures, and investigate production issues.
- Conduct root cause analyses (RCAs) for infrastructure, Linux OS, and network-level incidents.
- Continuously research emerging cloud technologies and provide recommendations for cost optimization, security posture enhancement, and operational efficiency.
Requirements &
Qualifications Must-Haves:
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of proven experience in a DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or SRE role.
- Linux Systems Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with Linux environments (Ubuntu, Debian, RHEL/CentOS); solid command of CLI utilities,
process and memory troubleshooting, system logs (journalctl, syslog), disk partitioning, and permissions management.
- Networking Knowledge: Solid understanding of core networking concepts: TCP/IP, OSI model, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, CIDR/Subnetting, NAT, Load Balancers (ALB/NLB/GLB), firewalls, and routing protocols.
- Multi-Cloud Platforms: Proven experience working with core services in both AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, EKS) and GCP (Compute Engine, GCS, Cloud SQL, IAM, VPC, GKE).
- CI/CD &
- GitOps: Hands-on expertise with GitHub Actions and ArgoCD (or equivalent GitOps continuous delivery tools).
- Web Servers &
- Proxies: Practical experience configuring, tuning, and debugging Nginx and Apache.
- Observability &
- Monitoring: Solid familiarity with setting up and managing cloud logging and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch, GCP Cloud Operations).
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficient in writing reusable Terraform code.
- Containers &
- Orchestration: Strong working knowledge of Docker containerization and Kubernetes (EKS/GKE).
- Scripting: Proficient in Bash and Python for systems automation and custom scripting.
- Problem-Solving &
- Initiative: Ability to take ownership of green-field projects from day one and effectively communicate with cross-functional technical teams. Good-to-Have:
- Relevant Cloud or Linux Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect / SysOps, GCP Professional Cloud DevOps / Architect, LFCS / RHCSA).
- Familiarity with Secret Management tools (e.g., HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, GCP Secret Manager).
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible.
- Knowledge of API Gateways (e.g. Ingress, Traefik) and Service Meshes (e.g., Istio).
What We Offer - Competitive compensation.
- Flexible working culture (Remote / Hybrid options).
- Annual learning and upskilling.
- High-ownership environment with opportunities to lead architecture decisions from scratch.
