Job Purpose
1. To lead and manage the unit team to achieve assigned business targets while maintaining high standards of portfolio quality, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
2. To drive sustainable business growth, strengthen operational processes, ensure portfolio quality, and foster long-term relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Business Expansion & Strategy
1.
Identify potential areas for business growth and support branch and operations teams in planning strategic expansion.
2. Establish and operationalize new branches in line with organizational growth objectives.
3. Promote and drive adoption of new products and services across the assigned geography.
4. Conduct market analysis and implement strategies to enhance business outreach and penetration.
Operational Oversight
1. Monitor and ensure achievement of assigned business targets for existing and new products.
2. Review key performance metrics including portfolio growth, customer retention, branch productivity, and cost efficiency.
3. Set branch-level and individual staff targets and ensure continuous performance tracking.
4. Conduct monthly performance reviews and submit detailed operational reports to Head Office.
5. Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of branches under the assigned unit.
Compliance & Audit
1. Ensure strict adherence to internal policies, audit guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
2. Cross-check cash entries with bank statements, deposit slips, and reconciliation reports.
3. Conduct random verification of loan documentation, client records, and passbooks.
4. Ensure compliance with SHG/JLG meeting protocols, operational guidelines, and documentation standards.

Coordinate with audit and risk teams to address compliance gaps and implement corrective actions.
Leadership & Team Management
1. Provide effective leadership, guidance, and supervision to branch teams for efficient operations.
2. Build a high-performance culture through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
3. Ensure discipline, ethical conduct, and operational excellence across teams.
4. Monitor staff productivity, attendance, and adherence to company policies.
5. Ensure operational registers, MIS, and records are maintained accurately as per company standards.

Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, Management, or a related discipline.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Microfinance Institutions (MFI), NBFC, or Banking operations.
- Proven experience in managing unit-level or regional operations with measurable business and portfolio outcomes.
- Strong track record of business growth, compliance management, and team leadership.
