Role Description The Trek Leader role at Tripomonk is a part time, remote position responsible for guiding and coordinating trekking experiences for travelers. In this role, the Trek Leader plans trek routes, reviews itineraries, and ensures safety standards are communicated clearly to participants.

The Trek

Leader provides pre-trek briefings, supports travelers during the journey through regular virtual check-ins, and collaborates with local partners to confirm logistics such as accommodations, transportation, and permits. The role involves sharing destination insights, advising on gear and preparation,



and helping travelers understand local culture and environmental guidelines.

Leader also collects feedback after treks and works with the Tripomonk team to improve future experiences and maintain high-quality, sustainable travel standards.

Qualifications

- Strong trekking and outdoor experience, including route planning, navigation, and risk awareness in varied terrain.
- Knowledge of sustainable and responsible travel practices, with the ability to promote eco-friendly behavior and respect for local communities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide, motivate, and support travelers remotely.
- Organizational and coordination skills to manage itineraries, schedules, logistics, and last-minute changes.
- Basic first aid knowledge and familiarity with safety protocols relevant to trekking and outdoor activities.
- Comfort using digital tools for remote work, including video calls, messaging platforms, and shared documents.
- Prior experience in guiding, outdoor leadership, or travel planning is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays, based on trek schedules and traveler needs.
