About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Manager – Solar to lead and supervise Solar PV module testing, certification, laboratory operations, technical documentation, quality systems, audits and compliance activities.

The candidate should have strong experience in Solar PV testing, IEC standards, BIS requirements, NABL laboratory systems, audits, certification activities, and client coordination. The profile should also have experience in managing end-to-end testing workflows and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise Solar PV module testing and certification activities.
- Ensure testing is carried out as per IEC 61215, IEC 61730 and IS 14286 standards.
- Manage day-to-day technical operations of the Solar PV testing laboratory.
- Plan and monitor the complete sample lifecycle, from sample receipt and testing to final reporting.
- Review and approve technical reports, test results and relevant technical documentation.
- Prepare and review datasheets, BOMs, drawings and compliance documents.
- Coordinate with clients, certification bodies and external agencies for testing and certification requirements.
- Handle technical queries and provide appropriate technical support to clients and internal teams.
- Ensure proper maintenance of test records, calibration records and document-control systems.
- Ensure compliance with NABL requirements and laboratory quality management systems.
- Coordinate and support NABL assessments, internal audits,



external audits and other certification/quality audits.
- Prepare required documents and records for audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations/non-conformities.
- Monitor compliance with laboratory SOPs, testing procedures and quality standards.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for troubleshooting, technical issues and process improvements.
- Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, laboratory efficiency and documentation practices.
- Guide and support technical team members in carrying out testing and certification activities.
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance status of laboratory equipment.
- Maintain effective technical documentation and ensure proper document control.
- Support management in technical planning, laboratory development and quality improvement initiatives.

Audit & Quality Responsibilities





- Manage laboratory readiness for NABL assessments and other quality/certification audits.
- Coordinate with auditors and certification agencies during assessments.
- Review audit findings and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure timely closure of NCs, observations and audit-related actions.
- Maintain required quality records, test records, calibration records and controlled documents.
- Ensure continuous compliance with applicable laboratory quality standards.

Qualification & Experience

Education:

- B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering discipline.
- Diploma holders with strong relevant Solar PV testing experience may also be considered.

Experience:

- 7+ years of experience in Solar PV testing, certification or laboratory operations.
- Robust experience in IEC standards, BIS compliance and laboratory quality systems.
- Experience in NABL and internal/external audit handling will be preferred.
- Experience in client coordination and certification-body interaction is desirable.
