About the Role:

We are looking for a Tech Lead – Data & AI to lead complex data engineering, analytics, and AI initiatives for enterprise clients. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends deep technical expertise with solution design, stakeholder engagement, and delivery ownership.

You will play a critical role in shaping data architecture, driving modern data platform implementations, mentoring teams, and ensuring successful delivery of high-impact Data & AI programs. The role requires strong technical depth, leadership skills, and the ability to translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions.

You will act as a trusted technical advisor to clients while leading cross-functional teams including Data Engineers, Analytics Developers, Cloud Engineers, and AI/ML specialists.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Solution Design

- Lead end-to-end architecture and design of Data & AI solutions using modern data platforms.
- Define data architecture, ingestion strategies, transformation frameworks, and AI enablement patterns.




- Drive decisions on cloud platforms, data lakehouses, pipelines, and governance models.
- Evaluate technology choices and recommend best-fit solutions based on business needs.
- Ensure scalability, performance, security, and reliability of data solutions.

Data Engineering & Platform Delivery

- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise data pipelines and analytics platforms.
- Oversee data ingestion, transformation, modeling, and orchestration layers.
- Work with tools such as Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, or AWS stack.
- Define best practices for data quality, lineage, monitoring, and governance.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security and data governance policies.

AI & Analytics Enablement

- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to enable data readiness for advanced analytics.
- Support AI use case development including feature engineering and data availability.
- Guide teams in integrating AI outputs into business workflows and dashboards.
- Ensure alignment between data engineering and AI model lifecycle requirements.

Stakeholder & Client Engagement

- Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients on Data & AI initiatives.
- Conduct technical workshops, discovery sessions, and architecture reviews.
- Present solution designs, trade-offs, and roadmaps to senior stakeholders.
- Manage client expectations on scope, timelines, and outcomes.

Team Leadership & Mentoring

- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, BI developers, and junior architects.
- Define coding standards, best practices, and technical guidelines.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Drive Agile/Scrum delivery with clear technical ownership.

Delivery & Program Ownership





- Own technical delivery for large-scale data transformation programs.
- Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and architects.
- Identify risks early and propose mitigation strategies.
- Ensure on-time, high-quality delivery aligned to business value.

Ideal Candidate Profile

- 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, or Cloud Data Platforms.
- Strong hands-on experience with at least one modern data platform:
- Microsoft Fabric / Azure Data Services
- Databricks
- Snowflake
- AWS Data Stack

- Deep understanding of data architecture, ETL/ELT, data modeling, and lakehouse concepts.
- Experience leading teams and driving enterprise data initiatives.
- Ability to balance technical depth with client communication.
- Experience in consulting or client-facing environments is highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with:
- Python, SQL, Spark
- Data orchestration tools (Airflow, ADF, or similar)
- Data governance and metadata tools

- Exposure to AI/ML workflows, feature stores, and model lifecycle.
- Experience in BFSI, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, or Telecom domains.
- Certifications in Azure, Databricks, AWS, or Data Engineering are a plus.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
