Technical Architect – EDI / API Integration | Professional Services

Looking for a hands-on Architect – EDI & API Integration to join its Professional Services team. This is a senior individual contributor role responsible for architecting, designing and building enterprise integration solutions from the ground up.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise across EDI/B2B integration, API integration, application architecture and software development , with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure and high-performance integration solutions.

This role requires an architect who is still deeply technical — someone who can define the architecture, make technology decisions, design integration patterns and personally develop critical components and applications .

What You Will Do

- Work directly with customers, business stakeholders and technical teams to understand complex integration and business requirements.
- Design end-to-end enterprise integration architectures covering EDI, APIs, applications, data flows and partner connectivity.
- Architect and build integration applications and solutions from scratch , from technical design through development, testing and deployment.
- Develop hands-on solutions using EDI, REST APIs, XML, JSON, flat files and enterprise integration patterns .
- Design and implement EDI/B2B integrations covering ANSI X12, EDIFACT and partner-specific formats.
- Design API-led integration solutions using REST APIs, HTTP/S and web services .
- Design and implement connectivity using AS2, SFTP, FTPS and other B2B communication protocols .
- Develop complex business processes, orchestration workflows, transformation and mapping logic .
- Define reusable integration patterns, frameworks and technical components to accelerate implementation across customers.
- Make architectural decisions around scalability,



performance, security, resiliency, maintainability and observability .
- Write production-quality code and contribute directly to application and integration development.
- Work with databases and develop complex SQL queries, joins and data-processing logic where required.
- Perform performance analysis and tuning for high-volume integration environments.
- Lead technical design reviews, code reviews and solution walkthroughs with internal and customer teams.
- Troubleshoot complex production and integration issues and drive them through to resolution.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Solution Architects, Implementation Engineers, Product and Support teams to deliver customer solutions.
- Provide technical guidance to other engineers while remaining an individual contributor .
- Own technical delivery from architecture and development through testing, deployment and go-live .

Required Skills & Experience

- 12+ years of experience in software engineering, enterprise integration, EDI/B2B integration or related technologies.
- Strong hands-on experience designing and developing enterprise integration applications from scratch .
- Deep expertise in EDI/B2B integration , including ANSI X12 and EDIFACT .
- Strong experience with REST APIs, API integration, HTTP/S and web services .
- Hands-on experience with AS2, SFTP, FTPS and other B2B communication protocols .
- Strong programming experience in one or more languages such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript or similar.
- Strong understanding of application architecture,



integration architecture and software design patterns .
- Experience with XML, JSON, flat files, CSV and other structured/semi-structured data formats .
- Strong experience in data transformation, mapping, orchestration and integration workflows .
- Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, data validation and troubleshooting .
- Experience designing solutions for high-volume, scalable and performance-sensitive environments .
- Strong understanding of security, authentication, encryption, error handling, resiliency and fault-tolerant integration design .
- Experience with cloud-based integration platforms and enterprise SaaS environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to debug issues across applications, APIs, integrations and data layers.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical architectures to both technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred / Good to Have

- Experience with Integration Cloud / Integration Cloud products or similar enterprise integration platforms.
- Experience with ERP, WMS, TMS, Supply Chain or Order Management integrations .
- Experience with API gateways, microservices and event-driven architectures .
- Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP and cloud-native application development.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, containers and DevOps practices .
- Experience working in a Professional Services / customer-facing consulting setting .
- Experience designing integration solutions for large enterprise customers and complex partner ecosystems .
