Job Title: Team Member- Cell Quality

Reporting To: Team Lead- Cell Quality

Job Purpose:

The Team Member – Cell Quality will support the establishment, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems for an advanced Solar Cell Manufacturing Plant focusing on N-Type TOPCon technology. The role ensures stringent process control, defect prevention, yield enhancement, and compliance with global quality standards throughout the greenfield project setup as well as post‑commissioning operations in a cleanroom environment.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Project Phase – Greenfield Setup

Quality System Establishment:

· Support the development and implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001 and SEMI standards.

· Assist in defining incoming, in‑process, and final inspection methodologies for raw materials, wafers, and finished cells.

· Help create quality SOPs, inspection plans, control plans, and work instructions for all cell manufacturing steps.

· Support setup of quality checkpoints across processes like diffusion, PECVD, PVD, metallization, texturing, and cleaning.

· Assist in implementation of SPC, FMEA, control charts, and other quality tools for critical-to-quality (CTQ) parameters.

Process Qualification & Validation:

· Participate in FAT/SAT activities and support process validation in ISO Class 1000–10,000 cleanroom conditions.

· Aid in establishing sampling plans, defect matrices, acceptance criteria, and audit protocols.

Operation Phase – Post-Commissioning Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Monitoring:

· Conduct routine inspections and monitor process and product quality parameters to ensure target yield and efficiency.

· Identify deviations, defects, and quality issues; support RCA and CAPA implementation.

· Ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and international quality norms.

· Support internal audits, external certification audits, and customer inspections.





Defect Reduction & Continuous Improvement:

· Analyze defect trends, scrap data, and yield losses; assist in corrective measures.

· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.

· Validate effectiveness of CAPA actions and help sustain improvements.

Training & Shop-Floor Support:

· Support training of operators and technicians on quality standards, defect identification, visual inspection, SOPs, and cleanroom discipline.

· Promote a culture of process discipline, quality ownership, and zero-defect mindset across the production line.

Documentation & Reporting:

· Maintain accurate logs of quality data, defect reports, inspection records, and corrective action documentation.

· Prepare MIS dashboards, reports on quality trends, process capability, yield, and audit outcomes.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Project Phase:

· Timely setup of quality systems and inspection frameworks

· Successful process validation and product qualification

· Compliance with cleanroom and global standards

Operational Phase:

· Yield improvement and defect reduction trends

· Process capability (Cp, Cpk) improvement

· RCA/CAPA closure rate and audit compliance

· Operator/technician training completion and skill enhancement

Qualifications:

· Education: Diploma/ B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Chemical Engineering.

Certifications/ Trainings:

· Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, SPC, FMEA, ISO 9001 QMS.

Experience:

· Experience: Minimum 06–10 years in solar cell or semiconductor manufacturing with strong grounding in quality systems.

· Preferred: Experience with N-Type TOPCon or similar advanced cell technologies; involvement in greenfield project execution and ramp‑up.

· Quality Tools: SPC, FMEA, RCA, CAPA, Control Charts.

· Standards: ISO 9001, SEMI, NFPA compliance.

Working Conditions:

· This role will be carried out within a manufacturing plant setting located near Rajkot.

· Location: This role is based at our manufacturing facility located near Rajkot.

· Work Environment: The position operates primarily within a plant environment, which may involve exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.

· Work Schedule: Standard working hours with occasional requirements for extended hours based on operational needs. Shift-based work may be applicable depending on the role and department.

· Travel Requirements: Minimal travel is expected; however, occasional visits to vendors, training centers, or other company locations may be required.

· Safety Gear: Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as helmets, safety shoes, and ear protection is mandatory in designated areas.
