Job Title: Team Member – Cell Maintenance

Reporting To: Team Lead – Cell Maintenance

Job Purpose:

The Team Member – Cell Maintenance is responsible for ensuring high reliability, availability, and performance of solar cell manufacturing equipment in a high-purity cleanroom environment. The role supports preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities for advanced N-Type TOPCon solar cell production lines, contributing to minimal downtime, protected operations, and world-class manufacturing standards. This position plays a critical role during both the greenfield project phase and post-commissioning operations, working closely with engineering, OEMs, production, and quality teams.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Project Phase – Greenfield Setup

Maintenance Planning & Readiness:

· Support installation, commissioning, and maintenance readiness of cell manufacturing equipment in coordination with engineering and OEM teams.

· Assist in the development and implementation of Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules, maintenance SOPs, and checklists for critical tools such as Diffusion, PECVD, PVD, Metallization, Texturing, Cleaning

· Participate in FAT/SAT activities, ensuring maintenance requirements are aligned with ISO Class 1000–10,000 cleanroom standards.

Vendor & Equipment Coordination:

· Coordinate with equipment suppliers for service readiness, spares planning, and technical documentation.

· Ensure adherence to SEMI, NFPA, and FM Global standards during equipment installation and maintenance planning.

Operation Phase – Post-Commissioning Responsibilities

Maintenance Execution:

· Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment uptime.

· Perform systematic troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment breakdowns.

· Monitor equipment performance and health through MES / SCADA systems.

· Support initiatives to improve MTBF and reduce MTTR.

Quality, Safety & Compliance:

· Strictly follow cleanroom protocols and EHS guidelines during all maintenance activities.





· Support production and quality teams in RCA and CAPA for equipment-related yield, quality, or process deviations.

· Ensure maintenance practices comply with safety, statutory, and internal standards.

Team Support & Skill Development:

· Support the Team Lead in training technicians on troubleshooting, safety practices, and cleanroom discipline.

· Act as a technical mentor for junior team members when required.

· Promote a culture of reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Reporting & Documentation:

· Maintain accurate maintenance records, breakdown reports, and downtime analysis.

· Update spare parts consumption and inventory records in SAP PM.

· Assist in preparation of MIS reports for management reviews, audits, and compliance checks.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Project Phase:

· Maintenance SOPs and PM plans readiness as per project timelines.

· Effective participation in FAT/SAT and commissioning.

· Compliance with cleanroom and global safety standards.

Operational Phase:

· Equipment uptime and availability.

· MTBF and MTTR improvement trends.

· Reduction in unplanned downtime.

· Effectiveness of RCA/CAPA implementation.

· Spare parts availability and inventory accuracy.

· Training hours and skill development contribution.

Qualifications:

· Education: Diploma/ B.E./ B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering.

Certifications/ Trainings:

· TPM, Predictive Maintenance, Industrial Safety Compliance.

Experience:

· Experience: Minimum 06–10 years in solar cell or semiconductor manufacturing maintenance, with strong exposure to high-purity cleanroom environments.

· Preferred: Experience in greenfield projects and ramp-up of maintenance systems for N-Type TOPCon or similar advanced technologies.

Technical Expertise:

· Solar Cell Process Equipment Maintenance: Diffusion, PECVD, PVD, Metallization, Texturing,



Cleaning.

· Cleanroom Operations: ISO Class 1000–10,000 compliance.

· Automation: MES, SCADA integration for equipment monitoring.

· Standards: SEMI, NFPA, FM Global compliance.

Working Conditions:

· This role will be carried out within a manufacturing plant environment located near Rajkot.

· Location: This role is based at our manufacturing facility located near Rajkot.

· Work Environment: The position operates primarily within a plant environment, which may involve exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.

· Work Schedule: Standard working hours with occasional requirements for extended hours based on operational needs. Shift-based work may be applicable depending on the role and department.

· Travel Requirements: Minimal travel is expected; however, occasional visits to vendors, training centers, or other company locations may be required.

· Safety Gear: Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as helmets, safety shoes, and ear protection is mandatory in designated areas.
