Job Title: Team Member- Cell Production

Reporting To: Team Lead- Cell Production

Job Purpose:

The Team Member – Cell Production is responsible for executing assigned production activities in the Solar Cell Manufacturing Plant in line with defined process parameters, quality standards, and cleanroom protocols. The role supports both the greenfield project phase and post-commissioning operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant production of N-Type TOPCon solar cells while contributing to yield improvement, defect reduction, and operational excellence.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Project Phase – Greenfield Setup

Production Line Setup & Readiness:

· Assist in equipment installation, hook-up, and commissioning activities for solar cell production lines.

· Support engineering teams during layout finalization, line balancing, and trial runs.

· Participate in FAT/SAT activities under guidance of Team Lead and Engineering.

· Follow and help implement SOPs for production processes, material handling, and cleanroom behavior.

Cleanroom & Safety Compliance:

· Adhere to ISO Class 1000–10,000 cleanroom protocols during installation and trial operations.

· Follow EHS guidelines, safety procedures, and tool-specific operating instructions.

Operation Phase – Post-Commissioning Responsibilities

Production Operations:

· Operate assigned process tools (Texturing, Diffusion, PECVD, PVD, Metallization, Cleaning, etc.) as per SOPs.

· Execute daily production plans to meet output, yield, and efficiency targets.

· Monitor key process parameters and escalate abnormalities to Team Lead or Process Engineering.

Quality & Process Control:

· Ensure compliance with process specifications and quality standards for N-Type TOPCon cells.

· Identify defects, process deviations, and abnormalities; support root cause analysis (RCA).

· Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) as instructed.

Teamwork & Discipline:

· Follow shift schedules, cleanroom discipline, and workplace conduct standards.





· Participate in training programs related to process, quality, safety, and equipment.

· Actively contribute to continuous improvement and safety initiatives.

Maintenance Coordination:

· Perform basic tool checks, 5S, and autonomous maintenance activities.

· Coordinate with maintenance teams during breakdowns and preventive maintenance.

· Ensure proper handover and documentation during shift changes.

Reporting & Documentation:

· Maintain accurate production logs, process checklists, and shift reports.

· Record downtime, scrap, and rework data in MES/SAP systems.

· Support audits by providing required production and compliance records.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Project Phase:

· Timely completion of assigned installation and commissioning tasks.

· Adherence to cleanroom and safety protocols.

· SOP and training completion.

Operational Phase:

· Achievement of individual production targets.

· Process adherence and reduction in operator-induced defects.

· Equipment utilization and response during breakdowns.

· Cleanroom compliance score.

· Training hours completed and skill certification status..

Qualifications:

· Education: Diploma/ B.E./ B.Tech. in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Production Engineering.

Certifications/ Trainings:

· Cleanroom Practices

· Lean Manufacturing / TPM (basic level)

· Safety & EHS Training.

Experience:

· Experience: Minimum 06–10 years in experience in solar cell, semiconductor, or high-tech manufacturing environments. Exposure to cleanroom operations and automated production lines preferred.

· Preferred: Experience in greenfield projects and ramp-up of production lines for N-Type TOPCon or similar advanced technologies.

Skills & Competencies:

Technical Expertise:

· Basic understanding of solar cell manufacturing processes: Texturing,



Diffusion, PECVD, PVD, Metallization, Cleaning

· Cleanroom discipline and contamination control

· Equipment operation and basic troubleshooting

· Familiarity with MES / SAP systems (preferred)

Working Conditions:

· This role will be carried out within a manufacturing plant environment located near Rajkot.

· Location: This role is based at our manufacturing facility located near Rajkot.

· Work Environment: The position operates primarily within a plant setting, which may involve exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.

· Work Schedule: Standard working hours with occasional requirements for extended hours based on operational needs. Shift-based work may be applicable depending on the role and department.

· Travel Requirements: Minimal travel is expected; however, occasional visits to vendors, training centers, or other company locations may be required.

· Safety Gear: Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as helmets, safety shoes, and ear protection is mandatory in designated areas.
