Job Title: Team Lead- Cell Process

Reporting To: Lead- Cell Process

Job Purpose:

The Team Lead – Cell Process will support the development, stabilization, and optimization of TOPCon solar cell manufacturing processes. This role will work closely with senior process leaders to ensure high‑yield operations, strict cleanroom discipline, and robust process control. The incumbent will drive day‑to‑day process management, defect reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve world‑class solar cell performance in a high‑tech manufacturing environment..

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Project Phase – Greenfield Setup

Process Development & Setup:

· Support development and qualification of TOPCon cell processes (texturing, diffusion, PECVD, PVD, metallization, wet processes).

· Assist in drafting process parameters, SOPs, work instructions, and control plans for all process steps.

· Participate in FAT/SAT activities and ensure equipment validation aligns with ISO Class 1000–10,000 cleanroom norms.

· Work with OEMs, technology experts, and engineering teams during equipment installation and commissioning.

System & Infrastructure Readiness:

· Assist in readiness checks for process tools, metrology systems, and supporting utilities.

· Coordinate with facilities and utilities teams to maintain stable process conditions.

· Implement safety protocols for chemical handling, cleanroom behaviour, and process tool operation..

Operation Phase – Post-Commissioning Responsibilities

Process Control & Optimization:

· Monitor key process parameters to support achievement of target efficiency, yield, and throughput.

· Conduct daily process checks, run trials, and implement improvements using SPC, DOE, and Lean tools.

· Support enhancement of process capability (Cp, Cpk) by reducing variability and stabilizing operations.

Defect Reduction & Troubleshooting:

· Lead first‑level troubleshooting for deviations, yield drops, and recurring defects.

· Assist in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementation of CAPA actions.





· Maintain defect logs and contribute to defect classification and reduction programs..

Cleanroom Compliance & Standards:

· Ensure adherence to cleanroom discipline, contamination control, and gowning protocols.

· Conduct routine audits for equipment cleanliness and process area compliance.

Team Coordination & Training:

· Guide junior engineers and technicians in executing daily operations.

· Provide training on SPC tools, cleanroom etiquette, defect identification, and process safety.

· Promote a culture of discipline, accountability, and data‑driven decision-making.

Documentation & Reporting:

· Maintain accurate process records, daily yield reports, and deviation logs.

· Support preparation of MIS reports for management reviews.

· Ensure timely updates to SOPs, work instructions, and control plans as per QMS norms.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Project Phase:

· Timely preparation of SOPs and documentation.

· Completion of equipment acceptance and qualification activities.

· Process and infrastructure readiness within project timelines..

Operational Phase:

· Achievement of cell yield, efficiency, and throughput KPIs.

· Reduction in defect rates and improvement of process capability.

· Timely closure of process deviations and CAPA actions.

· Training hours delivered and skill enhancement within the process team.

Qualifications:

· Education: Diploma/ B.E./ B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Chemical Engineering.

Certifications/ Trainings:

· Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, SPC, FMEA, ISO 9001 QMS.

Experience:

· Experience: Minimum 10–16 years in solar cell or semiconductor manufacturing with strong exposure to process engineering, yield improvement, and cleanroom operations.

· Preferred:



Experience in greenfield project setup and ramp-up in N‑Type TOPCon or other advanced cell technologies preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

Technical Expertise:

· Solar Cell Processes: Diffusion, PECVD, PVD, Metallization, Cleaning, Texturing.

· Tools & Methods: SPC, DOE, FMEA, Control Charts, CAPA, RCA.

· Standards Awareness: ISO, SEMI, NFPA.

Core Competencies:

· Functional: Process optimization, defect reduction, yield enhancement.

Working Conditions:

· This role will be carried out within a manufacturing plant environment located near Rajkot.

· Location: This role is based at our manufacturing facility located near Rajkot.

· Work Environment: The position operates primarily within a plant environment, which may involve exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.

· Work Schedule: Standard working hours with occasional requirements for extended hours based on operational needs. Shift-based work may be applicable depending on the role and department.

· Travel Requirements: Minimal travel is expected; however, occasional visits to vendors, training centers, or other company locations may be required.

· Safety Gear: Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as helmets, safety shoes, and ear protection is mandatory in designated areas.
