Job Title: Team Lead- Cell Production

Reporting To: Lead- Cell Production

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced skilled to lead the production operations of our state-of-the-art Solar Cell Manufacturing Plant. The role involves managing end-to-end production activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards, optimizing throughput, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The incumbent will play a critical role in achieving production targets for N-Type TOPCon solar cells while maintaining compliance with cleanroom protocols and global manufacturing standards.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Project Phase – Greenfield Setup

Production Planning & Setup:

· Collaborate with engineering teams for layout planning, equipment installation, and production line readiness.

· Review and approve process flow diagrams, line balancing plans, and capacity calculations.

· Support FAT/SAT for production tools and ensure alignment with ISO Class 1000–10,000 cleanroom requirements.

· Define SOPs for production processes, material handling, and cleanroom behavior.

Vendor & Equipment Coordination:

· Evaluate and finalize production equipment vendors for cell manufacturing lines (diffusion, PECVD, PVD, metallization, texturing, cleaning, etc.).

· Ensure compliance with SEMI, NFPA, and FM Global standards during equipment installation.

Operation Phase – Post-Commissioning Responsibilities

Production Management:

· Lead daily production operations to meet output, yield, and efficiency targets.

· Monitor process parameters and ensure adherence to specifications for N-Type TOPCon solar cells.

· Drive continuous improvement initiatives for throughput, cycle time reduction, and cost optimization.

Quality & Compliance:

· Ensure strict compliance with ISO, SEMI, and cleanroom protocols during production activities.

· Collaborate with Quality Assurance for defect analysis, RCA, and CAPA implementation.





Team Leadership & Training:

· Build and lead a high-performing production team; conduct training on process control, cleanroom discipline, and troubleshooting.

· Foster a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Maintenance & Coordination:

· Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive and corrective actions on production equipment.

· Ensure minimal downtime and quick recovery during breakdowns.

Reporting & Documentation:

· Maintain accurate production logs, yield reports, and downtime analysis.

· Prepare MIS reports for management review and audits.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Project Phase:

· Timely readiness of production lines and SOPs.

· Successful participation in FAT/SAT and commissioning activities.

· Compliance with cleanroom and global standards.

Operational Phase:

· Achievement of daily/monthly production targets.

· Yield improvement and defect reduction.

· Equipment uptime and MTBF/MTTR metrics.

· Cleanroom compliance during production.

· RCA/CAPA implementation rate.

· Training hours completed for team development.

Qualifications:

· Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Production Engineering.

Certifications/ Trainings:

· Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, Safety Compliance.

Experience:

· Experience: Minimum 10–16 years in solar cell or semiconductor manufacturing, with strong exposure to high-purity cleanroom environments.

· Preferred: Experience in greenfield projects and ramp-up of production lines for N-Type TOPCon or similar advanced technologies.

Technical Expertise:

· Solar Cell Processes: Texturing, Diffusion, PECVD, PVD, Metallization,



Cleaning.

· Cleanroom Operations: ISO Class 1000–10,000 compliance.

· Automation: MES, SCADA integration for production monitoring.

· Standards: SEMI, NFPA, FM Global compliance.

Working Conditions:

· This role will be carried out within a manufacturing plant environment located near Rajkot.

· Location: This role is based at our manufacturing facility located near Rajkot.

· Work Environment: The position operates primarily within a plant environment, which may involve exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.

· Work Schedule: Standard working hours with occasional requirements for extended hours based on operational needs. Shift-based work may be applicable depending on the role and department.

· Travel Requirements: Minimal travel is expected; however, occasional visits to vendors, training centers, or other company locations may be required.

· Safety Gear: Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as helmets, safety shoes, and ear protection is mandatory in designated areas.
