Mumbai
Who we are.
LightYears Health is on a mission to redefine how India ages, not with fear, but with science. We make clinically validated nutrition products for people who refuse to slow down: the 55-year-old who still lifts, the woman navigating menopause on her own terms, the 70-year-old who outruns her grandchildren.
We're not a supplement company. We're a preventive health company, building evidence-backed wellness products across arthritis, pain management, and hormonal health. And we're just getting started.
Our R&D; team includes PhDs from IIT Delhi and Jamia Hamdard University. Incubated at MIT Sloan. Grounded in science, built on trust, powered by hustle.
15 months in market. 10x sales growth in the last 6 months. Now we're building the team for the next leap, and we need someone to build it with us.
Values that matter to us.
- Question the status quo: we question the way things are done and encourage people to try new ways of doing things, as long as the risks are calculated.
- Transparency: We believe in an environment of complete, radical transparency. There are no wrong questions.
- Go-getter spirit: We're dealing with big problems and competitors with deep pockets. You're joining a team that solves difficult problems with creativity and hustle.
- Obsessed with finding and solving consumer pain points: As a team, we're fixated on serving our consumers and keeping the consumer's needs before all else.
- Be nimble & get your hands dirty: we're at a stage of growth where agility and nimbleness are essential. This requires our team at every level to get their hands dirty to get work done.
The role.
TL;DR: you'll be the person who makes LightYears a great place to work, and makes sure it actually works.
Working closely with our founder, you'll own hiring, people operations, culture, and the day-to-day running of our office. The role will include:
- Hiring for our roles: Owning the full hiring cycle across creative, marketing, operations, finance, and supply chain. This includes working with hiring managers to scope roles, writing and posting JDs, sourcing on LinkedIn, Naukri, and referrals, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, running assignments, closing offers, and onboarding new joiners so they're productive from day one.
- Enforcing office policies and culture: Being the custodian of our HR handbook, leave policy, and code of conduct, and making sure they're applied fairly and consistently. Beyond policy, you'll help build the culture: onboarding rituals, team offsites, celebrations, feedback loops, and the small things that make a fast-growing team feel like one team.
- People operations: Tracking attendance, leaves, and holidays; maintaining employee records and documentation; coordinating monthly payroll inputs with our finance team; and managing joining and exit formalities. As we scale, you'll also support statutory compliance (PF, Shops & Establishments, POSH) with our advisors.
- Office administration: Keeping our Lower Parel office running smoothly, from IT and equipment (yes, including the printer),
supplies, and vendors to facilities and housekeeping.
- Founder's Office support: Managing the founder's calendar, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel and logistics, so leadership time goes where it matters most.
(The bare minimum) qualifications.
- Bachelor's degree. An MBA or PG Diploma in HR is a plus.
- 3+ years in HR, talent acquisition, or HR generalist roles, ideally at a startup or consumer brand.
- Working knowledge of Indian labour law basics (leave, PF, payroll, S&E;).
- Solid Excel / Google Sheets skills. Experience with an HRMS (Keka, Zoho People, greytHR, or similar) is a plus.
Traits we value.
- A People Person. You genuinely enjoy people, and you can be warm with the team while being firm on policy.
- Discreet. You'll handle salaries, performance conversations, and personal information. Trust is non-negotiable.
- Organised to a fault. Nothing falls through the cracks: no missed interview, no unrecorded leave, no late payroll input.
- Hustler. We are a team of hustlers, and we are looking to grow the team with people who have a go-getter mentality for the goals they set.
- A Keen Learner. A new company offers many challenges and opportunities, each with a steep learning curve. We're looking for someone who embraces it.
- Agility and Adaptability. As we scale, our operations will be nimble. You'll adapt to changing team needs and priorities, and no task is too small, whether that's closing a senior hire or fixing the Wi-Fi.
Role Logistics.
- This is an in-person role in our office in Lower Parel, Mumbai.
- Compensation details will be disclosed after the first round interview.
