Systems Engineer – Key Responsibilities
- Lead system design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of train handling solutions.
- Define, analyze, and manage customer and system requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
- Conduct trade studies, design reviews, verification & validation, and system integration.
- Collaborate with software, controls, safety, validation, product, and applications teams in a global environment.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Plan and execute field testing, validation, and operational evaluations.
- Develop system specifications, technical documentation, and engineering deliverables.
- Work with customers and stakeholders to translate operational challenges into technical solutions.
- Apply systems engineering, automation, analytics,
and AI-enabled tools to improve engineering productivity and system performance.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
- 5–15 years of experience in systems engineering, hardware/software engineering, or data systems.
- Strong experience in requirements management, systems architecture, integration, and V&V;.
- Exposure to software, controls, automation, embedded, transportation, or safety-critical systems.
- Robust analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of railroad operations, train control, AAR/CENELEC standards preferred.
- Experience with AI, advanced analytics, or data-driven engineering is an advantage.
