Role Description The Study Abroad Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in Dehradun, responsible for guiding prospective students through the entire process of studying abroad. Daily tasks include counseling students and families on suitable courses, universities, and countries, assessing profiles, and recommending appropriate pathways. The role involves managing application processes, assisting with documentation, and coordinating with partner universities and internal teams.

The counselor will provide information on entrance tests such as IELTS, support students with basic admission and visa-related queries, and maintain regular follow-up to ensure smooth progress.



The position also includes maintaining accurate records, participating in promotional activities, and contributing to a positive, professional office environment.

Qualifications

- Strong counseling and advisory skills, with the ability to understand student goals and recommend suitable academic and career pathways.
- Excellent communication skills in English, including clear spoken communication and skilled writing for emails and documentation.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple student cases, deadlines, and follow-ups efficiently.
- Customer service orientation and interpersonal skills to build trust, manage expectations, and maintain long-term relationships with students and families.
- Basic knowledge of study abroad processes, including admissions, standardized tests (e.g., IELTS), and visa guidelines; prior experience in education consulting is an advantage.
- Comfort with using computers and common office tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, CRM or student management systems) to document and track student progress.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a background in education, counseling, or related fields is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Dehradun, collaborate with team members, and adhere to transparent, ethical counseling practices.
