Student Counsellor (Pre-School)

Reporting To: Principal / Head of School

Work Location: Pre-School Campus (Ahmedabad)

Position Objective To support the social, emotional, behavioral and overall development of pre-school children by providing guidance, counselling and a nurturing environment, in partnership with parents and teachers, to ensure the holistic well-being and successful early learning journey of each child.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide individual and group counselling to pre-school children to support their emotional, social and behavioral development.
- Help children adjust to the school workplace and transition from home to school.
- Observe and identify signs of developmental, emotional or behavioral concerns and take appropriate intervention steps.
- Work closely with teachers to understand children's needs and develop suitable strategies.
- Conduct awareness sessions and workshops for parents on child development, positive parenting and early childhood care.
- Guide and support parents on managing behavioral and emotional challenges at home.
- Maintain confidential records of counselling sessions, observations and follow-ups.
- Collaborate with external specialists (e.g., child psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists) when required.
- Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, positive and nurturing school environment.

Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology / Child Development / Early Childhood Education / Counselling or a related field.
- Additional certification in Child Counselling, Play Therapy or Early Childhood Development is an advantage.

Experience
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in counselling children, preferably in a pre-school or early childhood education setting.
- Experience in working with young children, parents and teachers is preferred.

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹360,000.00 per year
