About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Structural AutoCAD Draftsman – RCC to join our engineering/design team in Chennai. The ideal candidate should have 3–4 years of hands-on experience in preparing RCC structural drawings and detailing using AutoCAD.

The candidate will work closely with Structural Engineers and project teams to develop accurate, detailed, and construction-ready drawings as per project requirements and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed RCC structural drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop structural drawings for foundations, columns, beams, slabs, staircases and other RCC elements.
- Prepare reinforcement detailing drawings, sections, elevations and structural details.
- Convert structural design concepts, sketches and engineering inputs into accurate CAD drawings.
- Read and interpret structural drawings, design specifications and engineering layouts.
- Incorporate revisions and modifications based on engineer/site requirements.
- Coordinate with Structural Engineers, Design Engineers, Architects and Site Teams.
- Maintain proper layers, dimensions, scales, annotations, title blocks and drawing standards.
- Prepare and maintain GFC (Good for Construction) and as-built drawings wherever required.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency and completeness of drawings before submission.
- Maintain proper drawing revision and documentation records.
- Identify drafting discrepancies and coordinate with engineers for resolution.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned drawings according to project schedules.

Required Skills

- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.




- Good knowledge of RCC structural drafting and detailing.
- Practical understanding of reinforcement detailing, bar bending representation, sections and structural layouts.
- Ability to read and understand structural engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of construction practices and RCC structural components.
- Valuable understanding of dimensions, levels, scales and drawing standards.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with engineering teams.
- Good communication and time-management skills.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma / ITI in Civil Engineering, Civil Drafting or related discipline.
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering with relevant drafting experience will also be considered.

Experience

- 3–4 years of relevant experience in Structural Drafting.
- Candidates with strong experience in RCC structural detailing and AutoCAD will be preferred.
- Experience in structural consultancy, construction, infrastructure or engineering projects will be an advantage.

Preferred / Added Advantage

- Knowledge of Revit / BIM will be an added advantage.
- Exposure to structural design software such as STAAD.Pro will be beneficial.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Experience in preparing construction/GFC drawings.
