1. – State Audit Manager

Job Purpose

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and oversee the audit operations of a designated state within a specific state across all operational areas of the organization. The incumbent will lead a team of auditors, ensuring that all branch audits are conducted to the highest standards. The role requires active participation in state-level meetings, representing the Internal Audit Department, and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of key findings, operational gaps, and improvement opportunities across people, processes, and branches.

The position demands strong team management capabilities, as the individual will be required to motivate both self and team members while working closely with operational teams that are being evaluated. The incumbent should possess strong attention to detail, demonstrate alertness in identifying early warning signals, and regularly report observations, gaps, and feedback to the Head of Department (HOD). Essentially, the role functions as the “eyes and ears” of senior management, supported by accurate data and audit insights.

Principal Accountabilities

1. Conduct audits as directed by the HOD, including team-led and independent audits.

2. Monitor audit reports of all branches within the assigned zone.

3. Conduct risk assessments based on audit reports and share findings with the HOD.

4. Prepare audit schedules and conduct surprise audits based on risk assessments.

5. Ensure completion of auditor audits as per monthly requirements set by the HOD.

6.



Follow up on audit compliances and escalate cases of non-compliance or suspected fake compliance.

7. Manage day-to-day operations of the audit function including scheduling, team coordination, reporting, and branch follow-ups.

8. Send consolidated zone-level reports to IA–HO on people, processes, and branches that require special attention.

9. Plan and facilitate training for new audit team members within the zone.

10. Collect daily updates from the audit team and ensure smooth execution of the audit plan.

11. Conduct monthly review meetings with auditors and arrange training or capability-building programs.

12. Evaluate the performance of the audit team, quality of branch audits, and overall operational performance; take corrective or developmental actions as required.

13. Ensure consistent audit quality across all responsible areas.

Qualifications Required for the Job

- 1. MBA with a commerce background

- 2. 7–10 years of experience in NBFC Operations, Credit, or Internal Audit at a managerial level
