SR. ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN
Responsibilities
1. Perform preventive maintenance checks and repairs on electrical devices.
2. Detect malfunctions through observation (auditory or visual).
3. Run diagnostic tests to check system functionality.
4. Repair broken or defective electrical parts.
5. Conduct regular and minor repairs of equipment according to the repair plan.
6. Perform emergency repairs.
7. Select appropriate materials according to electrical requirements.
8. Align and compensate electrical parts.
9. Monitor and report project progress.
10. Manage spare parts usage and identify inventory status according to the spare parts supply and demand plan.
11. Acquire technical knowledge to improve facilities and management.
12. Ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations.
13. Supervise and train electrical team members.
14. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
15. Prepare and submit maintenance reports and documentation.
16. Create, development and implementation of maintenance strategies and plans.
17. Ensure the proper functioning of electrical systems during plant operations.
18. Utilize ERP systems for reporting and documentation purposes.
19.
Inspect electrical installations and systems to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
20. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
21. Provide technical support and guidance to the team.
22. Oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
23. Ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
24. Ensure the availability of necessary tools and equipment for maintenance tasks.
25. Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the team.
26. Support continuous improvement initiatives.
27. Liaise with management to report on maintenance activities and issues.
28. Perform all other related duties as assigned by the manager.
Requirements and skills
1. Technical college graduate with at least 10 years of experience, along with years of equipment maintenance experience in a steel company.
2. Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc.).
3. Robust problem-solving and organizational skills.
4. Understanding and setting of major electrical equipment (Motor, Drive, Transformer, circuit breaker, instrument, etc.).
5. Experience and understanding of applicable procedures, Work Instructions, and Specifications.
6. Basic English proficiency.
