Speech-Language Therapist (Children and Adolescents) | The Cub, Panchsheel Park, New Delhi
About The Cub The Cub is a child and adolescent diagnostic and therapeutic centre in Panchsheel Park, New Delhi. Our multidisciplinary team brings together psychology, speech and language therapy and more, so every child is understood as a whole person and not as a list of difficulties. We work with neurodivergent children and their families, and we care about doing it well.
The role
We are looking for a speech-language therapist to join our clinical team. You will assess and treat children and adolescents with a wide range of communication needs, work closely with parents, and collaborate with our psychologists and other therapists on shared cases. You will be trusted with your own caseload from early on. You will be working directly under the Senior SLP.
What you will do
- Assess and diagnose speech, language and communication difficulties across ages, from late talkers to teenagers
- Plan and deliver individual therapy for speech sound disorders, developmental language disorder, social communication and pragmatic difficulties, stammering, and language needs linked to autism, ADHD and other neurodevelopmental profiles
- Introduce and support AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) for children who need it
- Coach parents and caregivers so that progress carries over into home and school
- Write clear, practical reports and therapy plans, and set goals that matter to the child and family
- Work with our psychologists and the wider team on joint assessments, case discussions and programmes
- Take part in group programmes and camps where relevant
- Keep up with current research and bring it into your practice
What we are looking for
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP or MASLP) from a recognised university
- Valid RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) registration
- [1 to 3] years of experience with children and adolescents (strong freshers with good clinical training are welcome to apply)
- Comfort with both assessment and therapy, and with explaining your clinical thinking to parents in plain language
- A neurodiversity-affirming approach: you work with how a child communicates and do not try to make them fit a mould
- Good written English and Hindi (other languages are a bonus)
- Warmth, curiosity and a genuine willingness to learn from colleagues in other disciplines
Nice to have
- Experience with AAC, stammering, or feeding and oral-motor work
- Experience working with adolescents, including narrative and social communication
- Familiarity with parent-mediated intervention models
What we offer
- A collaborative, multidisciplinary team where you are not working in isolation
- Regular case supervision and time for professional development
- Autonomy over your clinical work
- Tuesday to Friday 10am - 6pm, Saturday 9am - 5pm (Sunday, Monday off)
