Special Educator

Job Summary

Little Gems Child Development Center is looking for a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Special Educator to support children with developmental, learning, behavioral, and special educational needs. The candidate will work closely with children, parents, and a multidisciplinary team to promote the child’s overall development and independence.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct individual and group-based educational intervention sessions.

Develop and implement individualized learning and intervention plans based on each child’s needs.

Support children with developmental delays, learning difficulties, ASD, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, and other special educational needs.

Work on cognitive, academic, communication, social, behavioral, and functional skills.

Use appropriate teaching strategies, visual supports, structured activities, and play-based learning.

Monitor and document each child’s progress and maintain session records.

Prepare regular progress reports and communicate observations to parents and the clinical team.

Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, behavioral therapists, and other professionals.

Participate in case discussions, assessments, parent meetings, and multidisciplinary planning.

Provide guidance to parents regarding home-based learning and developmental activities.

Maintain professional, ethical,



and child-friendly practices.

Ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for every child.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.

RCI-recognized qualification and valid RCI registration preferred/required as applicable.

Experience working with children with developmental and learning needs will be an advantage.

Freshers with relevant qualifications may also apply.
